Miss Denmark org releases statement after losing Miss Universe license

The Miss Denmark Organization no longer holds the license for Miss Universe Denmark while Dubai based Filipino socialite Josh Yugen recently emerged as new national director.

In a statement on social media, the new license holder shared, "The House of Yugen, the global powerhouse behind some of the most groundbreaking and inclusive pageants in the world, has officially taken over the national license of Miss Universe Denmark."

The new Miss Universe Denmark licensee has also opened registration for Miss Universe Denmark 2025 to all aspiring Danish beauty queens who have what it takes to represent Denmark at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November.

In an official statement, the president of Miss Denmark org Lisa Lents shared her proudest achievements after losing Miss Universe license, "Winning a grand slam pageant as a National Director and guiding a contestant to victory is a once-in-a-lifetime experience - an achievement that forever changes lives and leaves a lasting mark on history."

"I have been incredibly blessed to experience this twice: guiding Victoria Kjær Theilvig to become Miss Universe 2024, and Nicklas Pedersen to victory at Mr. World 2014. These moments not only brought pride to Denmark but also made us a part of history," she added.

She continued: "With these extraordinary accomplishments, I am proud to stand as the only active National Director with two victories of such magnitude. These milestones are a testament to the dedication, passion, and my huge love for pageantry."

As for the 74th Miss Universe, she said, "As we look ahead, the Miss Denmark Organization will not be participating in Miss Universe 2025, choosing instead to focus on other inspiring systems, with the hope of achieving even greater heights in the future conquering new crowns."

Her message for the reigning Miss Universe: "We are immensely proud of Victoria and it fills us with joy to see her now traveling the world as Miss Universe. She has become a shining star, making a meaningful impact and inspiring countless people with her grace, strength, and passion."

The Miss Denmark Organization still holds licenses for Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Supranational, Miss Grand International, and Miss Cosmo.
