Miss South Africa 2025 is Qhawekazi Mazaleni from Eastern Cape
Qhawekazi Mazaleni was crowned Miss South Africa 2025 on Saturday, October 25 in glittering event held at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria.
The 24-year-old beauty from Gonubie, Eastern Cape edged out eight other finalists to win the coveted national title. She succeeded last year's winner Mia le Roux of Western Cape.
Actress and model Luyanda Zuma from Pietermaritzburg, Kwazulu-Natal and flight attendant Karabo Mareka from Alexandra, Gauteng were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.
Buyisile Mashile and Gizelle Venske completed the Top 5. The rest of the finalists were Bridgette Jones, Ghee-Ann Rademan, Nthabiseng Kgasi and Zanele Phakathi.
Former winners Tamaryn Green and Ndavi Nokeri were among the distinguished panel of judges.
Raised in the Eastern Cape and currently residing in Gauteng, the newly crowned Miss South Africa is a speech therapist, children's author and master's student.
Qhawekazi holds a degree in speech, language and hearing therapy from Stellenbosch University amd is pursuing her master's degree speech-language pathology at the University of Pretoria.
She aims to help young children in learning to read and count in their native language, as she believes that early education in the vernacular creates a stronger foundation for learning and development.
