Miss South Africa 2023 Top 30 contestants officially revealed

The Top 30 contestants vying to become Miss South Africa 2023 have been officially revealed on Wednesday, May 24 exclusively on the Miss SA App. From 30, only the Top 12, to be announced this June, will have the chance to move on to the finals whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Fan voting on the pageant's official app is now open and will close on Sunday, May 28 at 1 p.m. local time (SAST) so don't miss voting for your favorites to enter the next round of the competition. Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska visits South Africa, meet new license holder

Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska arrived in Cape Town, South Africa this week with Miss World CEO Julia Morley for a 6-day visit to the rainbow nation. In addition to humanitarian purposes, their official visit also includes the launch of the new Miss World South franchise under Carol Bouwer Productions.  According to Miss World, the new license holder has a long history with the organization having presented the MNET coverage of Miss World 1994 at Sun City. "Carol understands the importance of our cherished theme of Beauty With A Purpose, which underpins all Miss World activities around the world. Carol's passion, integrity, and creativity will take Beauty With A Purpose to the next level," Miss World posted on social media. Mister Supranational South Africa 2023 is Tylo Ribeiro

Tylo Ribeiro was named Mister Supranational South Africa 2023 in a national final held on Saturday, April 22 at The Venue Melrose Arch in Johannesburg. The 30-year-old data scientist from Pretoria bested nine other finalists to win the title. He will now represent South Africa at Mister Supranational 2023 in Poland this July. Rounding out the Top 5 were first runner-up Nkululeko Mbatha, second runner-up Jerobiam Julies, third runner-up Anton Siebert, and fourth runner-up David Nkadimeng. Miss Supranational 2022 Lalela Mswane to be VIP guest and judge at the first Mister Supranational South Africa pageant The reigning Miss Supranational and South Africa's very own, Lalela Mswane, will be the VIP guest and judge at the inaugural edition of Mister Supranational South Africa in Johannesburg this weekend. Lalela will first be part of the interview judging this Friday before attending the glittering final on Saturday, April 22 at The Venue Melrose Arch in Sandton. Miss South Africa 2022 first runner-up Ayanda Thabethe has been officially announced on Tuesday, February 28 as Miss Supranational South Africa 2023. The 23-year-old entrepreneur and model hails from Pietermaritzburg and is pursuing a degree in dietetics and human nutrition from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her campaign "Project Khulisa" aims to improve the future of all South Africans through nutritional intervention and innovation by mobilizing food solutions through initiatives such as community vegetable gardens, food parcels, and education about diet. “After visiting a KZN orphanage, I was surprised at how little consideration is taken by those preparing and funding the meals into providing the children with nutrient-dense meals as most of their meals are supplied by their schools during the day," she wrote on social media. The Miss Supranational Organization has announced that the reigning queen Lalela Mswane is scheduled to visit Curacao this February. Lalela will be in the Dutch Caribbean island from February 16 to 23 as a special guest of the Miss Supranational Curaçao Organization in collaboration with the Curacao Tourist Board. During her stay, the South African beauty queen is expected to explore and showcase the beauty of the island and take part in the country's Carnival celebrations. The national costume of Miss South Africa 2022 Ndavi Nokeri for the upcoming 71st Miss Universe pageant has been officially revealed. Hosted by former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi, the official reveal took place on Tuesday, December 6 at The Maslow Hotel in Gauteng. Ziphozethu Sithebe was named Miss Earth South Africa 2022 on Thursday, September 29 at the Southern Sun Rosebank in Johannesburg. The 21-year-old TV personality and an aspiring pilot succeeded last year's titleholder Nompumelelo Maduna and will now prepare to represent South Africa at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant in the Philippines this November. Ndavi Nokeri bested nine other finalists to be crowned Miss South Africa 2022 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, August 13 at the SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria. The 23-year-old beauty hails from Tzaneen in Limpopo. She holds a degree in investment management from the University of Pretoria and currently works for an asset management firm in Cape Town. Ayanda Thabethe from KwaZulu-Natal and Lebogang Mahlangu from Gauteng were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Western Cape's Luvé Meyer and Tamsyn Jack completed the Top 5 finalists.
