Reigning Miss International Jasmin Selberg visits Vietnam

Germany's Jasmin Selberg touched down in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday, May 22 for her first official visit to Vietnam since winning Miss International 2022 last December. Accompanied by Miss International executive Stephen Diaz, the Estonia-born beauty arrived wearing the Long Beach Pearl crown to a warm welcome from Vietnamese fans eagerly waiting for her at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. In a social media post, Jasmin shared a lovely message to fans. She wrote: "Cam on (thank you) Vietnam for welcoming me so beautifully. The hospitality of you really warms my heart." Included in her schedule for the trip were charitable activities and attending the official sashing and send-off ceremony of the newly proclaimed Miss International Vietnam 2023 Nguyen Phuong Nhi. Together with Phuong Nhi, she visited a retirement home in HCMC to donate new mattresses for the elderly residents to provide them a better and more comfortable sleeping time. Miss International Northern Marianas Savannah Lyn Delos Santos was honored with Senate recognition and commendation for her historic achievement at the recently held Miss International 2022 pageant. Senator Vinnie Sablan and the Members of the Senate of the 22nd Commonwealth Legislature adopted a Senate Resolution for her exemplary service and outstanding representation of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. "It’s crazy to see such a huge plaque with several of my achievements and accolades in life. I have to say that it feels a little weird to be recognized in such a grand way. I still don’t know how to feel. Just like with several of the wins I’ve had recently, I’m still in shock. I’m extremely grateful though I promise," Savannah shared on social media. Germany's Jasmin Selberg was crowned Miss International 2022 from a field of 66 contestants in a glittering competition held on Tuesday, December 13 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The 23-year-old university student in history and philosophy received the new crown by Long Beach Pearl from Sireethorn Leearamwat, the longest-reigning Miss International from Thailand. Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were the first runner-up from Cabo Verde, Stephany Amado; second runner-up from Peru, Tatiana Calmell; third runner-up from Colombia, Natalia López Cardona; and fourth runner-up from the Dominican Republic, Celinee Santos. The representatives from Canada, Jamaica, and Spain finished in the Top 8 while Costa Rica, Finland, France, New Zealand, Northern Marianas, Philippines, and the United Kingdom were the rest of the Top 15 semi-finalists. Miss International 2022 contestants experience Japanese tea ceremony

As part of Miss International tradition, this year's contestants were given the opportunity to experience the Japanese tea ceremony, a cultural activity involving the ceremonial preparation and presentation of tea. Selected contestants for this traditional activity were taken to the Enshu Sado School in Tokyo, a school of tea in Japan that was founded over 400 years ago during the early Edo period. Their Miss International 2022 journey will not be complete without the tea ceremony experience with no other than the grand tea master himself, Soujitsu Kobori. A total of 27 Miss International 2022 contestants were chosen to take part in the 6th International Women's Entrepreneurs Forum held on Tuesday, December 6 at the NBC headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The selected contestants were from Australia, Belarus, Cabo Verde, Cambodia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Haiti, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Honduras, Kenya, Laos, Namibia, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Northern Marianas, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, USA, and Venezuela. Miss International 2022 contestants spent their day one in Tokyo, Japan with an orientation and warm welcome from the chairperson of the International Cultural Association, Akemi Shimomura, together with Mr. Takashi Ikemitsu of the Japan Travel Agency. They were all specially commissioned as Miss Visit Japan Tourism Ambassadors in their respective countries and the certificate was handed over to Miss International Spain 2022 Julianna Ro. The 66 beauties will now be the goodwill ambassadors for Japan once they return home after the competition.
