Muž roku 2022 (Man of the Year) was held last August 26 in Náchod, a town in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. Matěj Švec, a 23-year-old football player, fitness trainer, and co-owner of a gym in Český Krumlov, was named Muž roku 2022. He also received the title Mister International Czech Republic 2022 and is expected to represent his country at the Mister International pageant. The runners-up, software developer Filip Šanda, 28, and barber Leon Vonaký, 20, were awarded the titles Man of the Year Czech Republic and Mister Global Czech Republic 2022, respectively. As titleholders, they are also expected to compete overseas in Man of the Year and Mister Global competitions. Last year, the winner Lukáš Vyšehrad participated in the Mister Grand International 2021 in Panama City, while the runners-up, Jiří Perout went on to place in the Top 24 at Mister Supranational 2022 in Poland, and Dominik Chabr conquered the Man of the Year 2022 title in Indonesia. Kim Hee Won was named Mister International Korea 2022 in a national competition held on Monday, August 29 in Seoul. The 28-year-old model and former football player from Jinju bested 33 other contestants to win the national title. Lee Yong Woo and Kim You Soo were the first runners-up; Kim Jon Wook, Yoo Byeong Eun, and Hong Seok Jin were the second runners-up; and Kim Sang Hun and Lee Won Young were the third runners-up. The new Mister International Korea and the runners-up are expected to represent their country at various international male pageants such as Mister International, Mister Supranational, Mister Global, Man of the World, Mister National Universe and Man of the Year. Dominik Chabr, representing the Czech Republic, was named Man of the Year 2022 on Sunday, August 21 in Bali, Indonesia. The 28-year-old fitness model and hockey player bested 13 other contestants to win his title. He succeeds Korea's Lee Ho Jin who won in 2019. Nguyen Minh Khac of Vietnam was named first runner-up while Bogdan Yusipchuk of Ukraine, Lee Joo Yong of Korea, and Pablo Fernández Gallego of Spain were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The representatives from Chile, the Dominican Republic, and the Philippines completed the Top 8. "It's a great experience for me because I can only experience this once in my life and I'm really happy that all the hard work paid off," the new Man of the Year wrote in a statement on social media.
