Nong Thuy Hang was crowned Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2022 in a glittering event held on Saturday, July 16 in Ho Chi Minh City. The 23-year-old beauty from the Tay ethnic group in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang is a graduate of the National Economics University. Luong Thi Hoa Dan, a 21-year-old student from the Kinh ethnic group in the northern province of Hai Duong, was named first runner-up. The final competition of the Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2022 pageant was held on Saturday, July 2 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The Miss Earth 2022 delegates from Estonia, Norway, and Palestine have been announced by the Miss Earth Organization. Miss Earth Estonia 2022 is Liisi Tammoja, a 20-year-old beauty who studies music. She’s into acting, writing, and the entertainment industry. Her advocacy is to fight against air pollution by planting as many trees as possible. Miss Earth Norway 2022 Lilly Sødal is a 19-year-old mental health and sustainable development advocate from Kristiansand. She is into acting, modeling, and the entertainment industry. Miss Earth Palestine 2022 is a fitness, health coach, and entrepreneur, Nadeen Ayoub. The 27-year-old is also a humanitarian who has worked with charities to help children and families facing poverty. In addition, she is working towards promoting environmental awareness in Palestine. Miss Ribatejo, Maria Rosado, was crowned Miss Queen Portugal 2021 (Miss Earth Portugal 2022) in a national competition that took place between April 7 and 10 in Castro Daire, Viseu. The 21-year-old beauty from Ourém succeeds Miss Queen Portugal 2020 Gabriella Rodriguez and will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant later this year. Miss Viana do Castelo, Soraia Barbosa, Miss Braga, Inês Fernandes, and Miss Porto, Esmeralda Moreira, were the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. The 10th year anniversary of the Miss Queen Portugal pageant was participated by 45 finalists from all the districts of mainland Portugal, Azores, Madeira, and the Portuguese Community of France. A northernmost country in Africa, Tunisia, is set to debut in the Miss Earth pageant with newly crowned Miss Earth Tunisia 2022 Imen Mehrzi. The 26-year-old professional singer, TV host, actress and telecommunications research engineer won her beauty title in a national competition held on Saturday, February 19 at Bel Azur Hotel in Hammamet. Miss Philippines Earth has officially announced its nationwide search for the next wave of Filipinas who will serve as ambassadors to environmental protection campaigns in the Philippines. For its 22nd edition, the pageant takes on the theme “ME Loves Fauna” to emphasize the importance of caring for animal life and promote awareness of how they are essential members of the environment. After two virtual editions, the organization now plans to hold a live coronation event with a limited number of contestants, production staff, and audience, around July. Last year's winner, Naelah Alshorbaji, will relinquish her reign at the end of the event. The Filipino-Syrian beauty earned a place in the Top 8 during the international Miss Earth 2021 held virtually last November.
