Miss Earth Netherlands 2022 is Merel Hendriksen, Miss Teen of the Netherlands 2022 is Floortje Timmer


The final competition of the Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2022 pageant was held on Saturday, July 2 at Studio 21 in Hilversum.

A 24-year-old interior designer from Dodewaard, Merel Hendriksen, was named Miss Earth Netherlands 2022 while a 17-year-old aspiring beautician from Houten, Floortje Timmer, clinched the title of Miss Teen of the Netherlands 2022.

They will respectively represent the Netherlands at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines and Miss Teen International in India.

Amber Rustenberg, Kim Hulshof, Dalia van Gessel and Beau Goos were the runners-up. A total of 24 finalists competed for the titles at stake during this year's national pageant.

"What a night! I feel like I’m dreaming. As of yesterday evening, I may call myself Miss beauty of the Netherlands and Miss Earth of the Netherlands," Merel said in a statement on social media.

"I want to thank everyone who helped me during this amazing adventure. I am so proud of all the young women who made yesterday’s show an amazing experience," she added.

Polish-American Emily Reng to represent Poland at Miss Universe 2025

Polish-American Emily Reng was officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization as Miss Universe Poland 2025 on Wednesday, October 22. The 20-year-old will now prepare to represent Poland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this coming November. Emily is a graduate of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois and is currently a student at the University of South Carolina. The new Miss Universe Poland is no stranger to pageantry. Prior to competing at Miss Polonia 2024 where she finished second runner-up, she won the title of Miss Polish America 2024 in Chicago. Miss Universe 2025 competition kicks off in Bangkok, Thailand

The 74th Miss Universe pageant has officially commenced in Bangkok, Thailand, as over 120 beauties from across the world gather to vie for the most coveted crown. Clad in their arrival ensembles, the contestants were escorted to the Chatrium Hotel & Residence Riverside Bangkok, one of the official accommodations for this year's event. Miss Lebanon 2024 first runner-up Sarah Leena Boujaoude has recently been officially appointed as Miss Universe Lebanon 2025. The 20-year-old fashion model and a finance student at the American University of Beirut will represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2025. Miss Universe El Salvador 2025 is Giulia Zanoni of La Unión

Giulia Zanoni, representing La Unión, was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2025 on Friday, September 26 at Palacio Tecleño in Santa Tecla. The 20-year-old international relations student succeeds last year's winner Florence Gisselle Garcia and will represent El Salvador at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Miss Universe Portugal 2025 is Camila Vitorino

Former Miss Queen of Portugal Camila Vitorino was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2025 last Saturday, June 14 in the beautiful and historic city of Elvas. The 26-year-old from São Sebastião, Setúbal made history as the first married woman and mother to become Miss Universe Portugal. Laura Malaquias, Diliana Fernandes, and Ivone Carneiro were announced as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Last year's winner Andreia Correia passed on her crown to her successor at the end of the event. Lattana Munvilay was crowned Miss Universe Laos 2025 last Sunday, September 21 at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Vientiane. The 31-year-old model and actress from Salavan province succeeds last year's winner Phiranya Thipphomvong. She will represent Laos at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Soudavone Inthavong of Luang Namtha and Lothjana Khounnavong of Houaphanh were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Universe Laos has already joined the national competition twice. She placed second runner-up in 2019 and 2022. Lattana graduated from Vientiane High School and went on to study architecture at the National University of Laos. The 20-year-old Swiss-Mexican beauty from Ticino will now prepare to represent Switzerland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Lisa Barras from Fribourg and Melina Malonga Matouba from Geneva placed second and third, respectively. The new Miss Universe Switzerland bested 18 other contestants to win the national title.
