Miss Earth 2023 Drita Ziri arrives in the Philippines

Reigning Miss Earth Drita Ziri touched down in the Philippines on Thursday, May 2 for her first official visit since winning Miss Earth 2023 last December in Vietnam. The Albanian beauty will be joined by her elemental court Cora Bliault from Thailand, Do Thi Lan Anh from Vietnam, and Yllana Marie Aduana of the Philippines. According to the Miss Earth organization, they will be in the Philippines until May 12 to take part in the promotion of heritage and eco-tourism of the country. The queens will have a media conference on May 7 at Brittany Hotel in Villar City, Cavite, and will be gracing the Miss Philippines Earth 2024 grand coronation on May 11 in Talakag, Bukidnon. Miss Earth 2023 Drita Ziri returns home to Albania

A week after winning the prestigious Miss Earth 2023 competition in Vietnam, Drita Ziri has returned to a heartwarming welcome in her home country Albania. Her supporters gathered with flowers and banners as she arrived wearing the new Miss Earth crown by Long Beach Pearl and the iconic sash in Tirana on Friday, December 29. Drita made history with her victory last week in Ho Chi Minh City as she became the first-ever Albanian representative to win the Miss Earth pageant. "I never thought I was going to represent Albania in Miss Earth and bring home the crown. To me, this was an impossible, unreachable, and unrealistic dream but now everything is my reality," she wrote online. "To all of my supporters from the beginning of the competition, I am very happy that I got to share every moment with you and I am very grateful for the support that I have globally received you really made my days and I hope I live up to the expectations." Miss Earth crown returns to Europe after 11 years

The Miss Earth 2023 competition culminated with Albania's Drita Ziri being crowned the winner on Friday, December 22 at Van Phuc City in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Drita's victory marked a historic milestone for her country at Miss Earth as she became the first-ever Albanian woman to win the title and the third European titleholder in the pageant's 23-year history. Europe last held the crown in 2012 with the Czech Republic's Tereza Fajksová. Its first winner was Catharina Svensson of Denmark during the inaugural edition in 2001. Technically, the continent has already won four times. Bosnia and Herzegovina claimed the crown in 2002 courtesy of Džejla Glavović but she was dethroned for failing to fulfill her duties as reigning queen. She was replaced by Kenya's Winfred Omwakwe. Vietnam's Do Thi Lan Anh has been announced the winner of the Best in National Costume during the Miss Earth 2023 finals and coronation on Friday, December 22 at Van Phuc City. Designed by the talented Vietnamese fashion designer Nguyen Tien Truyen, her "Nu Vuong" costume was showcased during the preliminary competition held on December 16 at the Van Thanh Flower Village in Dalat. "A deeper love for my Vietnamese heritage that is full of wonder and beauty. It feels surreal that I was given the opportunity to showcase a part of my nation’s history and honor the Vietnamese heroes of the past," she shared online. Chile's Ximena Huala, Indonesia's Cindy Inanto, Philippines' Yllana Marie Aduana, and Venezuela's Jhosskaren Smiller were the rest of the Top 5 for the award. Albania's Drita Ziri bested 84 other contestants to be crowned Miss Earth 2023 on Friday, December 22 at Van Phuc City in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The 18-year-old model and TV host from Fushë-Krujë made history as she became the first-ever Albanian representative to win the Miss Earth title. Yllana Marie Aduana of the Philippines, Do Thi Lan Anh of Vietnam and Cora Bliault of Thailand were crowned Miss Earth Air, Miss Earth Water, and Miss Earth Fire, respectively. Morgana Carlos of Brazil, Dilnaz Tilaeva of Kazakhstan, Noa Claus of the Netherlands, and Daria Lukonkina of Russia were in the Top 8 and were sashed as runners-up. Indonesia's Cindy Inanto bagged the Miss People's Choice award and earned a spot in the Top 20 at Miss Earth 2023. Hosted by TNA Entertainment, the 23rd Miss Earth competition culminated on Friday, December 22 at Van Phuc City in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Cindy went on to place in the Top 12 and accomplished her country's highest placement in Miss Earth's 23-year history. She is 27-years-old, hailing from North Sumatra. Miss Earth's brand new crowns by renowned Vietnamese brand Long Beach Pearl have been officially unveiled. The main crown for the winner carries the theme of "Unique Bonds - One Planet" symbolizing the harmony between nature and humanity. Its design was brought to life by the founder of the Long Beach Pearl, entrepreneur Bui Thi My Canh, along with the talented artisans of the brand, showcasing the journey of honoring Vietnam's beauty and its inherent connection with nature. It is made of gold, combined with pearls and gemstones in vibrant colors, and features a total of 87 precious pearls.
