Albania's Drita Ziri wins Miss Earth 2023, first crown for the Balkan country


Albania's Drita Ziri bested 84 other contestants to be crowned Miss Earth 2023 on Friday, December 22 at Van Phuc City in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The 18-year-old model and TV host from Fushë-Krujë made history as she became the first-ever Albanian representative to win the Miss Earth title.

Yllana Marie Aduana of the Philippines, Do Thi Lan Anh of Vietnam and Cora Bliault of Thailand were crowned Miss Earth Air, Miss Earth Water, and Miss Earth Fire, respectively.

Morgana Carlos of Brazil, Dilnaz Tilaeva of Kazakhstan, Noa Claus of the Netherlands, and Daria Lukonkina of Russia were in the Top 8 and were sashed as runners-up.

The new Miss Earth received her crown by Long Beach Pearl from her predecessor from Korea, Mina Sue Choi.

Before being appointed as Miss Earth Albania, Drita held the title Miss Shqiperia 2022 and competed in The Miss Globe 2022 where she not only finished as second runner-up but also won the Miss Bikini award.

Hosted by TNA Entertainment, this year's much-talked-about Miss Earth competition was the second edition to be held in Vietnam after 2010.

The head of the organizing committee, entrepreneur and actress Truong Ngoc Anh also announced the pageant will again be hosted in the country next year.

Miss Universe Brazil 2025 is Maria Gabriela Lacerda

Maria Gabriela Lacerda, representing the state of Piauí, was crowned Miss Universe Brazil 2025 on Thursday, February 13 in Alphaville, São Paulo. The 22-year-old journalist bested 23 other contestants to win the beauty title. She received her crown from Brazil's first Miss Universe winner, Miss Universe 1963 Ieda Maria Vargas. Aline Fritsch of Rio Grande do Sul and Ana Carolina Ceolin Comério of Espírito Santo were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "This crown is ours, my Piauí. Miss Belgium 2025 is Karen Jansen of Limburg

Karen Jansen, representing the Dutch province of Limburg, was crowned Miss Belgium 2025 on Saturday, February 15 in De Panne. The 23-year-old psychology student and freelance model from Lommel bested more than 30 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner, Kenza Ameloot. Jane Baesen and Astrid Lafaut were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Axana Carmoy and Kiana Verstraete were the other runners-up. Thailand has been officially announced as the host country for the Miss Universe 2025 competition. The Miss Universe Organization unveiled the ultimate destination for the 74th Miss Universe pageant at a press conference in New York City. Miss Russia 2024 is Valentina Alekseeva from Chuvashia

Valentina Alekseeva was crowned Miss Russia 2024 during the national competition held on Saturday, October 5 in Moscow. The 18-year-old model from Chuvashia will now prepare to represent Russia at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this coming November. Irina Mironova from Tolyatti and Ulyana Evdokimova from St. Petersburg were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. "Honestly, I'm still in shock. It was incredible. Former Reina Hispanoamericana Teresita Marquez joins Miss Universe Philippines 2025

Former Reina Hispanoamericana titleholder Teresita Marquez is set to represent the city of Muntinlupa at the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant. Popularly known as Winwyn Marquez, the Filipino actress and mother won her country's first-ever Reina Hispanoamericana winner in 2017 in Bolivia. Mister Global 2021 first runner-up Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam was officially announced as the new Mister Global 2021 replacing Spain's Miguel Ángel Lucas Carrasco who won the title last March in Thailand. The Mister Global Organization made the official proclamation on Monday, September 5 during a press conference at Sofitel Saigon Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City. Former Miss Philippines Earth Yllana Marie Aduana will represent the municipality of Siniloan, Laguna, at the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant. The 26-year-old medical technology graduate and environmental education advocate was previously crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2023 in Toledo, Cebu.
