Albania's Drita Ziri wins Miss Earth 2023, first crown for the Balkan country


Albania's Drita Ziri bested 84 other contestants to be crowned Miss Earth 2023 on Friday, December 22 at Van Phuc City in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The 18-year-old model and TV host from Fushë-Krujë made history as she became the first-ever Albanian representative to win the Miss Earth title.

Yllana Marie Aduana of the Philippines, Do Thi Lan Anh of Vietnam and Cora Bliault of Thailand were crowned Miss Earth Air, Miss Earth Water, and Miss Earth Fire, respectively.

Morgana Carlos of Brazil, Dilnaz Tilaeva of Kazakhstan, Noa Claus of the Netherlands, and Daria Lukonkina of Russia were in the Top 8 and were sashed as runners-up.

The new Miss Earth received her crown by Long Beach Pearl from her predecessor from Korea, Mina Sue Choi.

Before being appointed as Miss Earth Albania, Drita held the title Miss Shqiperia 2022 and competed in The Miss Globe 2022 where she not only finished as second runner-up but also won the Miss Bikini award.

Hosted by TNA Entertainment, this year's much-talked-about Miss Earth competition was the second edition to be held in Vietnam after 2010.

The head of the organizing committee, entrepreneur and actress Truong Ngoc Anh also announced the pageant will again be hosted in the country next year.

Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2025 is Zashely Alicea Rivera

Zashely Alicea Rivera, representing Dorado, was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2025 on Thursday, August 14 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce in San Juan. The 25-year-old psychology graduate, professional ballet dancer and model will represent Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Samarys Barbot Arroyo of Jayuya was named first runner-up while Isys Arimar Santos Crespo of  Vieques, Marisabel Rivera Negrón of Ponce and  Aneichka Maldonado Torres of Canóvanas were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Universe Canada 2025 is Jaime VandenBerg

Jaime VandenBerg was announced the winner of Miss Universe Canada 2025 on Saturday, August 9 at the Chrysler Theatre in Windsor, Ontario. The 28-year-old international model and actress from Lethbridge, Alberta will represent Canada at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Karmen Brar was named first runner-up while Jabili Kandula, Malayika Kwizera, and Kamuahao Hei weret the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Universe Canada was crowned by her predecessor Ashley Callingbull who made the Top 12 at Miss Universe 2024 held last November in Mexico. Queensland's Lexie Brant was proclaimed the winner of Miss Universe Australia 2025 on Friday, August 15 at Crown Perth in Burswood, Western Australia. The 21-year-old model from Brisbane bested 29 other contestants to win the national competition. She will represent Australia at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Ivy Prempeh was named first runner-up while Cara Mooney, Bianca Black, and Ash Donner were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Ivana Carolina Irizarry, representing Puerto Rico, was crowned Universal Woman 2025 on Saturday, August 10 in Jaipur, India. The 30-year-old model, presenter and businesswoman made history as the first Puerto Rican woman to clinch the international title. She succeeds last year's winner Maria Gigante of the Philippines. Jennifer Ventura Marte emerged as the winner of Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2025 on Sunday, August 10 at Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito in Santo Domingo. The 27-year-old civil engineer from Barahona bested 28 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent the Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Gabrielle Henry bested over 20 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 on Saturday, August 9 at AC Hotel in Kingston. The 28-year-old medical doctor will represent Jamaica at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. She succeeds last year's winner Rachel Silvera.
