After days of guessing game, the secret is officially out - the reigning Miss Earth Destiny Wagner has arrived in Vietnam. The 26-year-old Belizean beauty queen was invited to be the special guest at the grand launch and press conference of the Hoa hậu các Dân tộc Việt Nam 2022 (Miss Vietnam Ethnicity 2022) pageant at Caravelle Hotel Saigon. Destiny was also announced as one of the judges in the upcoming national competition organized by Nova Entertainment, whose winner will represent Vietnam at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant later this year. "I am very thankful and appreciative. Thus far the experience has been amazing. When Anh first brought it up in LA, I was so excited and overwhelmed, and all of a sudden it has happened so quickly," she said in an interview. Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin has announced her engagement to commercial real estate agent boyfriend Daniel Lopez. The beauty queen turned lawyer and national director shared the unexpected proposal that took place in Manhattan, New York on her social media account with the caption: "I said yes to the love of my life. Life put us together and now God will keep us together forever." "I still can’t believe this is happening in my life. A northernmost country in Africa, Tunisia, is set to debut in the Miss Earth pageant with newly crowned Miss Earth Tunisia 2022 Imen Mehrzi. The 26-year-old professional singer, TV host, actress and telecommunications research engineer won her beauty title in a national competition held on Saturday, February 19 at Bel Azur Hotel in Hammamet. Apart from her, Nesrine Haffar, 23, clinched the Miss Tunisie 2021 title while Rahma Sellimi, Mona Ammar, and Chourouk Marzouki were named Miss World Tunisia, Miss International Tunisia, and Miss Eco International Tunisia, respectively. The first-ever Miss Earth Tunisia is expected to represent her country at the international Miss Earth 2022 pageant whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Miss Earth Vietnam has a new franchise holder, Miss Earth 2023 might be held in Vietnam

The new president of Nova Entertainment, Truong Ngoc Anh, has announced ownership of the Miss Earth Vietnam franchise in a press conference held last Thursday, February 17. A national pageant will take place this March to honor the beauty, intelligence, and special talents of young women from 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam. The winner will represent the country at the next Miss Earth edition. There's also a possibility for Miss Earth 2023 to be held in Vietnam as the new national franchisee also announced interest in the rights to host the international competition. The country has already hosted the 10th-anniversary edition in Nha Trang in 2010. Vietnam has not yet placed at the Miss Earth pageant since successfully winning the coveted title in 2018 with Nguyen Phuong Khanh. Reigning Miss Earth from Belize, Destiny Wagner, made her New York Fashion Week runway debut during the weekend after getting invited by VIP Pageantry. The 25-year-old beauty queen met with her fans on the streets of the "Big Apple" and successfully completed three shows for some brands like BeMade, Kirsten Regalado, and Vizcaya Swimwear. New York Fashion Week is a semi-annual series of events when international fashion collections are shown to buyers, the press, and the general public. It is one of four major fashion weeks in the world, collectively known as the "Big 4", along with those in Paris, London, and Milan. Miss Philippines Earth 2022 pageant applications now open, takes on "ME Loves Fauna" theme

Miss Philippines Earth has officially announced its nationwide search for the next wave of Filipinas who will serve as ambassadors to environmental protection campaigns in the Philippines. For its 22nd edition, the pageant takes on the theme “ME Loves Fauna” to emphasize the importance of caring for animal life and promote awareness of how they are essential members of the environment. After two virtual editions, the organization now plans to hold a live coronation event with a limited number of contestants, production staff, and audience, around July. Last year's winner, Naelah Alshorbaji, will relinquish her reign at the end of the event. The Filipino-Syrian beauty earned a place in the Top 8 during the international Miss Earth 2021 held virtually last November. Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner has been named as Sustainable Tourism Ambassador by the Belize Tourism Board (BTB), the governing body of Belize’s Tourism Industry that focuses on progressive and sustainable developments. The beauty queen will work alongside BTB in promoting the ecotourism of her country and protecting its natural resources. "Thank you Ministry of Tourism for making this possible and I look forward to working closely with you throughout the year to highlight and amplify the voices of nonprofits who continuously fight for a better Belize and a better planet," Destiny shared on her social media page.
