Priyan Sain clinched the title of Miss Earth India 2023 during the Miss Divine Beauty 2023 national final held on Saturday, August 26 in New Delhi. The 20-year-old student, dancer, and taekwondo player from Jaipur, Rajasthan succeeds last year's winner Vanshika Parmar, and will now prepare to represent India at the Miss Earth 2023 pageant in Vietnam this December. She received her crown from reigning Miss Earth from Korea Mina Sue Choi who was invited as a special guest along with Miss Earth Air from Australia Sheridan Mortlock. At the same event, Praveena Aanjna was named Miss International India 2023 while Pema Choden Bhutia and Tejaswini Shrivastava were both announced as runners-up. Prior to becoming a finalist for Miss Divine Beauty and eventually winning her national title, Priyan participated in Miss Rajasthan 2022 where she finished as first runner-up. The Miss Earth Thailand 2023 final will take place on Friday, September 1 at the Grand Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok. Following an audition round, 12 contestants have been selected to compete for the national title and the opportunity to represent Thailand at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam this December. Their official sashing ceremony was held on Saturday, August 12 with the presence of national director Sirikan Onsonkran, last year's winner Chawanphat Kongnim and her court of elemental queens. A series of pre-pageant events and activities have been prepared for the beauties including workshops, seminars, and a trip to Vietnam, among others. The 20-year-old nursing home employee and women's health advocate hailing from Brumunddal was third runner-up during the Miss Norway 2023 (Miss Universe Norway 2023) pageant recently held in Oslo. She succeeds Miss Earth Norway 2022 Lilly Sødal who placed in the Top 20 among 85 contestants at Miss Earth 2022 in Manila, Philippines last November. The 20-year-old university student representing Okinawa succeeds last year's winner Manae Matsumoto and will now prepare to represent her country at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam this December. Panameña Universal Organization officially announced Nicole Castillero as Miss Earth Panama 2023 via social media on Wednesday, August 2. The 23-year-old student pursuing a degree in marketing and international studies will now represent Panama at Miss Earth 2023 to be held in Vietnam this December. Nicole succeeds last year's representative Valerie Solís who bagged a silver medal for Best in Talent during the Miss Earth 2022 competition in the Philippines. Panama has yet to win the Miss Earth crown since joining for the first time in 2001. Its highest placement was in 2006 when Stefanie de Roux Martin placed in the Top 8. Carousel Productions, Inc., organizers of the Miss Earth pageant officially announced that the Miss Earth 2023 final will be held on December 16 in Vietnam. The official announcement was posted on Friday, July 21 on the pageant's official social media pages. Vietnam hosted Miss Earth for the first time in 2010. The 10th-anniversary edition was held at the Vinpearl Land Amphitheater in Nha Trang where India's Nicole Faria emerged as the winner. "ME Loves TREE" will be the theme of this year's pageant which is expected to be held in Lam Dong. More than 80 countries are expected to participate and so far, more than 30 contestants have been confirmed with more to be announced in the coming months.
