Miss Earth Spain 2023 is Edurne Fernández

Edurne Fernández was crowned Miss Earth Spain 2023 in a national competition held on Sunday, July 16 at Teatro Apolo in Almería.

The 20-year-old nursing student from Alicante succeeds last year's winner Aya Kohen and will now prepare to represent Spain at Miss Earth 2023 to be held in Vietnam later this year.

Paula Sánchez was named first runner-up while Naiara Afán, Sandra Martín Maldonado, and Noa Sánchez were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Spain has yet to win the Miss Earth crown since its debut at the pageant in 2001. Its highest placements were in 2007 and 2009 when both Ángela Gómez and Alejandra Echevarría placed in the Top 4 and bagged the Miss Earth Fire title.
