Pageant Group Canada 2023: Meet the new queens

Pageant Group Canada Inc. crowned new queens for Miss Intercontinental, Miss Supranational, Miss Grand International, and Miss Earth


Pageant Group Canada Inc., Canada's largest pageant producer with exclusive rights to some of the world's biggest international beauty competitions, held its 2023 national final on Saturday, August 19 in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.

Hosted by reigning Miss World Canada Emma Morrison, the glittering event featured 28 contestants from across the country battling it out for the coveted national titles at stake.

Meet the winners:

Miss Grand Canada 2024 - Alivia Croal (for Miss Grand International 2024)

Miss Supranational Canada 2023 - Rachel Murgel (for Miss Supranational 2024)

Miss Earth Canada 2024 - Aleena Singh (for Miss Earth 2024)

Miss Intercontinental Canada 2023 - Marina Saleeb (for Miss Intercontinental 2024)

They were crowned by their respective predecessors, Miss Grand Canada 2023 Yulia Shcherban, Miss Supranational Canada 2022 Alexa Marie Grant, Miss Earth Canada 2023 Layanna Robinson, and Miss Intercontinental Canada 2022 Patricia Rosalyn Seward.

"Words cannot describe the immense feeling of gratitude and joy this past week has brought me. All I know is that this is the start of a life-altering journey, and I wouldn’t change it for the world," said the new Miss Supranational Canada.

The new Miss Earth Canada, who just made history by being the first Indian-Canadian to win the title, also shared: "When I was younger the idea of Miss Canada resembling someone like me seemed like just a dream."

"Yet, after years of nurturing dreams and my mom encouraging me, I decided to take a chance," she continued.

"Next year I will be representing Canada on the Miss Earth international stage. I can't wait to see what this year holds for me."

As for the new Miss Intercontinental Canada, who is of Filipino-Egyptian descent, her winning a crown has been a full-circle moment.

She said, "Months of preparation with the most amazing people who have been supporting me since the very beginning."

Miss Michigan USA 2024 is Alma Cooper

Miss Okemos, Alma Cooper was crowned Miss Michigan USA 2024 on Sunday, April 21 at McMorran Entertainment Center in Port Huron, Michigan. The 22-year-old scholar, advocate and US Army officer will now prepare to represent Michigan at Miss USA 2024 in Hollywood, California this August. Alma holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the United States Military Academy at West Point. The second lieutenant officer is also a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, currently pursuing her master's degree in data science at Stanford University in California. She succeeds last year's winner, Alexis Fagan-Williams. Miss Hawaii USA 2024 is Breea Yamat from Oahu

Breea Yamat was crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2024 during the state final competition held on Friday, April 19 at Royal Hawaii Center Theater. The 27-year-old Mexican-Filipina beauty from Oahu will now prepare to represent Hawaii at Miss USA 2024 in Hollywood, California in August. She succeeds last year's winner,  Savannah Gankiewicz , who placed first runner-up at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada last September. Miss Connecticut USA 2024 is Shavana Clarke

Miss Greater Bridgeport, Shavana Clarke was crowned Miss Connecticut USA 2024 on Sunday, April 14 at Marriott Hartford Windsor Airport in Windsor, Connecticut. The 29-year-old model and mental health advocate will now prepare to represent the state of Connecticut at Miss USA 2024 in California this August. Shavana was crowned by last year's winner and Miss USA 2023 Top 20 semifinalist Karla Aponte Roque. She was third runner-up to Karla during last year's competition. Miss Universe Croatia 2024: Meet the contestants

The official photos (shot at Royal Hotels & Resort in Dubrovnik) of the 15 finalists vying for this year's Miss Universe Croatia have already been released. Andrea Erjavec , last year's winner from Perušić, is set to crown her successor during the final competition this May 6 at Esplanade Zagreb Hotel.  Jutarnji.hr will livestream the show. Miss Philippines Earth 2024: Meet the winners of the beach wear competition

The Miss Philippines Earth 2024 Beach Wear Competition was held on Thursday, April 25 in Borongan City, the capital of the province of Eastern Samar. Sam Samara of Makati City bagged the gold medal while the representatives of Iligan City, Kristel Codas, and Matanao, Davao Del Sur, Irha Mel Inutan Alfeche were awarded silver and bronze, respectively. A total of 29 contestants from all over the country are currently competing for this year's coveted title. The national final will be held on May 11 in Talakag, Bukidnon. Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2024: Meet the contestants

The official contestants vying for Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2024 were finally revealed on Thursday, April 18 at the mayor's office in San Juan. This year's competition will have 28 of the island's most beautiful women selected to compete for the coveted national title. One of them will be the successor of Karla Guilfú Acevedo, reigning Miss Universe Puerto Rico and Miss Universe 2023 Top 5 finalists. "Enjoy every stage of the process because all the knowledge you acquire will be with you forever," Karla's words of support for the contestants. The preliminary competition for Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2024 will be held on June 23 while the final is on June 27 at Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré. Mister Supranational South Africa 2024 is Fezile Mkhize

Former Mr World South Africa, Fezile Mkhize, was officially announced as Mister Supranational South Africa 2024 on Saturday, April 27 at Asteria Group Holdings in Pretoria. The 33-year-old medical doctor and television presenter succeeds last year's winner  Tylo Ribeiro and will now prepare to represent South Africa at Mister Supranational 2024 in Poland this July. Hlumelo Matsha was named first runner-up while Michael Benevolent finished as second runner-up. The new Mister Supranational South Africa hails from Port Shepstone in KwaZulu Natal and is now based in Johannesburg. He lost his father at a young age and during the competition, he said that losing several family members in the past few years has encouraged him to work harder to live life fully and make a difference in the lives of others. Miss Universe Germany 2024 is Pia Theissen

Pia Theissen was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2024 on Sunday, April 28 at Living Hotel de Medici in Düsseldorf. The 25-year-old social worker, occupational therapist and yoga teacher from Cologne will now prepare to represent Germany at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year. Annabelle Keller and Ilke Filiz were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Angelina Matic, Jennifer Monreal, and Tatjana Genrich rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Miss Universe Netherlands' national director Milou Verhoeks, reigning Miss Denmark Nikoline Uhrenholt Hansen, and former Miss Universe Germany Soraya Kohlmann were among the judges. The new Miss Universe Germany succeeds last year's winner  Helena Bleicher , who participated in Miss Universe 2023 last November in El Salvador. Pia is multilingual, fluent in English, German, and Spanish.
