Pageant Group Canada 2023: Meet the new queens

Pageant Group Canada Inc. crowned new queens for Miss Intercontinental, Miss Supranational, Miss Grand International, and Miss Earth


Pageant Group Canada Inc., Canada's largest pageant producer with exclusive rights to some of the world's biggest international beauty competitions, held its 2023 national final on Saturday, August 19 in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.

Hosted by reigning Miss World Canada Emma Morrison, the glittering event featured 28 contestants from across the country battling it out for the coveted national titles at stake.

Meet the winners:

Miss Grand Canada 2024 - Alivia Croal (for Miss Grand International 2024)

Miss Supranational Canada 2023 - Rachel Murgel (for Miss Supranational 2024)

Miss Earth Canada 2024 - Aleena Singh (for Miss Earth 2024)

Miss Intercontinental Canada 2023 - Marina Saleeb (for Miss Intercontinental 2024)

They were crowned by their respective predecessors, Miss Grand Canada 2023 Yulia Shcherban, Miss Supranational Canada 2022 Alexa Marie Grant, Miss Earth Canada 2023 Layanna Robinson, and Miss Intercontinental Canada 2022 Patricia Rosalyn Seward.

"Words cannot describe the immense feeling of gratitude and joy this past week has brought me. All I know is that this is the start of a life-altering journey, and I wouldn’t change it for the world," said the new Miss Supranational Canada.

The new Miss Earth Canada, who just made history by being the first Indian-Canadian to win the title, also shared: "When I was younger the idea of Miss Canada resembling someone like me seemed like just a dream."

"Yet, after years of nurturing dreams and my mom encouraging me, I decided to take a chance," she continued.

"Next year I will be representing Canada on the Miss Earth international stage. I can't wait to see what this year holds for me."

As for the new Miss Intercontinental Canada, who is of Filipino-Egyptian descent, her winning a crown has been a full-circle moment.

She said, "Months of preparation with the most amazing people who have been supporting me since the very beginning."

Anambra's Basil Onyinyechi crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025

Miss Anambra, Basil Onyinyechi, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 on Saturday, August 30 at Balmoral Convention Center in Victoria Island, Lagos. She bested 21 other contestants to win her national title and will now prepare to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Idah Eno of Akwa Ibom clinched the crown of Miss Supranational Nigeria 2025 and will head to Poland for Miss Supranational 2025 next summer. Damilola Bolarinde of Lagos, Fortune Kurobo of Bayelsa, and Irene Ikediashi of Ogun finished as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Meet the winners of Miss Nepal 2025

The Miss Nepal 2025 pageant was held on Saturday, August 30 at the  Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur. In addition to Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal International, and Miss Nepal Earth, the 26 contestants also competed for the new title of Miss Nepal Cosmo. Luna Luitel, 26, from Kathmandu was crowned Miss Nepal World 2025 and will go to the Miss World 2026 competition whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Choi Soon-hwa recently created a buzz in the pageant community when she appeared as the oldest contestant vying for Miss Universe Korea 2024. The 81-year-old senior model who walked her first runway in her 70s made history as she competes alongside more than 30 others in the upcoming national competition. If she wins this year's Miss Universe Korea, she will be the oldest Korean representative and contestant in the 73-year history of the Miss Universe pageant. Texas-born R'Bonney Gabriel, 28, was crowned the 71st Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2022) on Saturday, January 14 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Veena Praveenar Singh bested 76 other contestants to win Miss Universe Thailand 2025 in a spectacular show on Saturday, August 23 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 29-year-old beauty representing the province of Saraburi will now prepare to compete in the upcoming Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Praewwanich Ruangthong of Krung Thep Maha Nakhon and Naruemol Phimphakdee of Phuket were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The spectacular Miss Universe 2024 preliminary competition and national costume show was held last night at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Hosted by reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios and Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, the important event kicked off with the contestants parading in their colorful and stunning national costumes. After the national costume segment, each contestant walked on stage in their swimsuits and capes, and then by group during the evening gown. Former Miss France Eve Gilles has been officially named Miss Universe France 2025 by the Miss France organization. The 22-year-old model from Quaëdypre is set to represent France at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant to be held in Thailand this November.
