Gugulethu Mayisela was crowned Miss Grand South Africa 2023 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 22 at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria. The 19-year-old model from Johannesburg bested 23 other competitors to win the title. She succeeds last year's winner LuJuan Mzyk and will now prepare to represent South Africa at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October. "What an honour. Newly crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2023 Nikki de Moura returned to a warm homecoming welcome in Cagayan de Oro City. A grand motorcade around the "City of Golden Friendship" was held on Monday, July 24 as well as courtesy calls with the city officials. Later that day, an official homecoming press conference was held for the 19-year-old model on the ground floor of the SM CDO Downtown Premier. Yayoi Machida was crowned Miss Grand Japan 2023 in a national competition held on Sunday, July 16 at the Tokyo FM Hall in Tokyo. The 26-year-old beauty from Tokyo bested 13 other competitors to win the title. She succeeds Seira Inoue and will now represent Japan at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October. The 28-year-old disability support worker and an ADHD advocate from Victoria will now prepare to represent Australia at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October. Paitin Louise Powell was named first runner-up while Brooke Murray, Selina McCloskey, and Alecia McCallum were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
