Miss International 2022 kicks off, day one standouts

Miss International 2022 contestants spent their day one in Tokyo, Japan with an orientation and warm welcome from the chairperson of the International Cultural Association, Akemi Shimomura, together with Mr. Takashi Ikemitsu of the Japan Travel Agency. They were all specially commissioned as Miss Visit Japan Tourism Ambassadors in their respective countries and the certificate was handed over to Miss International Spain 2022 Julianna Ro. The 66 beauties will now be the goodwill ambassadors for Japan once they return home after the competition. Miss International 2022 contestants depart for Tokyo, Japan

The 60th Miss International edition is about to begin in Tokyo, Japan, and over 60 contestants from around the world head their way to the host country. After being canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Miss International 2022 is finally going to be held on December 13 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. At the end of the event, the longest reigning Miss International Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand will crown her successor with a brand new crown by Long Beach Pearl. This year's competition takes on the theme "Beauties For SDGs" to promote the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Two countries are joining for the first time — Cape Verde and Uzbekistan, while Cuba, Greece, Jamaica, Kenya, Namibia, Sierra Leone, South Korea, and Uruguay are all set to return. Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 (Miss International Philippines) Hannah Arnold received her official send-off party for Miss International 2022 on Tuesday, November 15 at the Novotel Hotel in Araneta City, Cubao. Over a year after winning her national title, the 26-year-old Filipino-Australian beauty will finally be heading to Tokyo, Japan for the international competition which is scheduled to be held on December 13 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. Her sister queens including former Miss International Lara Quigamanwere present during her send-off to share support and words of encouragement as she tries to bring home her country's 7th Miss International crown. Miss International Denmark 2022 is Dana Myrvig

Miss Denmark Organization headed by its CEO Lisa Lents proudly announced Dana Myrvig as Miss International Denmark 2022 and will head over to the Miss International 2022 in Tokyo, Japan this December. The 26-year-old social educator, activist, and model graduated with a bachelor's degree in social education and a diploma in neuropsychology. She was a finalist in Miss Denmark 2019 and now succeeded Anna Diekelmann, Miss International Denmark 2019. Dana was born in Mali to a Danish father and a Sudanese mother. Over the last six years, she has been passionate about charity and volunteering, especially for disabled people and children, and her biggest dream is to open her own volunteer center. Miss International organization has officially unveiled a brand new crown made by Vietnamese luxury pearl jewelry company Long Beach Pearl . Introduced along with the new Mount Fuji-inspired Miss International Japan crown, the new Miss International crown was inspired by the Japanese national flower — the cherry blossoms which symbolizes "the strength, spirit, culture, and people of Phu Tang." Themed "Cherry Blossoms welcome the spring sunshine," the exquisite masterpiece features 333 pure white pearls, three selected pearls measuring up to 15 mm, and 1,960 white gems, meticulously crafted and dedicated especially for the Miss International pageant. Anjelica Whitelaw has been officially announced by Karen Jane Productions as Miss International Australia 2022 on Tuesday, October 11. The 26-year-old Sydney-born Filipino-Australian lawyer will represent Australia at the 60th Miss International pageant in Tokyo, Japan this December. A graduate of a bachelor's degree in communication and recently a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Technology Sydney, Anjelica currently works as a lawyer at a commercial law firm in Sydney. In her spare time, the proud bilingual whose Filipino mother hails from Pampanga, Philippines, enjoys traveling and exploring new cuisines with her family and friends. Australia first joined Miss International in 1960 during the pageant's inaugural edition. The country has won the title three times with Tania Verstak in 1962, Jenny Derek in 1981, and Kirsten Davidson in 1992. Miss International Korea 2022 is Kim Su-jin

Kim Su-jin, a 25-year-old fashion design graduate and broadcaster from Daegu will represent Korea at Miss International 2022 in Japan. Prior to being appointed as Miss International Korea 2022, she was named first runner-up during last year's Miss Korea pageant. She also has just recently relinquished her reign as Miss Gyeongbuk 2021. Following a 2-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 60th Miss International edition will take place at the Tokyo Dome City Hall on Tuesday, December 13. Since Korea's debut at the Japan-based international pageant in 1960, it has yet to win the coveted title. The country's highest placements so far were two first runner-up finishes in 2000 and 2009. Meet Miss International Belgium, France, Germany and Netherlands 2022

The representatives of Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands for the 60th Miss International pageant have been selected in a special event that took place last weekend at Beej Bertje in Maastricht. Loren Venx was named Miss International Belgium 2022 while Jasmin Selberg and Marisol Soliana were awarded the titles Miss International Germany and Netherlands, respectively. Joining them was Miss International 2020/2021 France Maya Albert, who won her own title last year in the northern french city of Roubaix. The "Miss International Festival" event was organized by pageant director Katia Maes, a Belgian native who is now based in the Netherlands. Loren, Jasmin, Marisol, and Maya are now preparing to represent their respective countries at Miss International 2022 in Tokyo, Japan this December. "It is a dream come true for me. Viktória Podmanická to represent Slovakia at Miss International 2022

Miss Slovensko 2020 first runner-up Viktória Podmanická will finally represent her country at the 60th Miss International pageant in Japan this December. The 20-year-old beauty grew up in a central Slovakian city called Banská Bystrica. Apart from placing second in the national pageant two years ago, she also bagged the Miss Sympathy title after getting the highest number of votes from the public. Miss International Slovakia 2022 is not only young and beautiful but she is also nice and caring. Coming from a family of doctors, she enjoys helping others especially the less fortunate. When she was only 15, she supported an association that specializes in helping disabled children and young people. Recently, she helped in summer camp as an assistant with all sorts of activities such as riding horses, bowling, and driving ATVs. Viktória was supposed to compete in Miss International 2020 but the pageant took a 2-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The prestigious event will, at last, ta
