Miss International 2022 contestants attended 6th International Women's Entrepreneurs Forum

A total of 27 Miss International 2022 contestants were chosen to take part in the 6th International Women's Entrepreneurs Forum held on Tuesday, December 6 at the NBC headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The selected contestants were from Australia, Belarus, Cabo Verde, Cambodia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Haiti, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Honduras, Kenya, Laos, Namibia, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Northern Marianas, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, USA, and Venezuela. Supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, the special event gave the contestants the opportunity to share opinions and valuable discussions with female business leaders. Ikebana, which literally means "to give life to flowers" is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It has already become a traditional part of the Miss International pageant activities. Miss International 2022 contestants spent their day one in Tokyo, Japan with an orientation and warm welcome from the chairperson of the International Cultural Association, Akemi Shimomura, together with Mr. Takashi Ikemitsu of the Japan Travel Agency. They were all specially commissioned as Miss Visit Japan Tourism Ambassadors in their respective countries and the certificate was handed over to Miss International Spain 2022 Julianna Ro. The 66 beauties will now be the goodwill ambassadors for Japan once they return home after the competition. Miss International 2022 contestants depart for Tokyo, Japan

The 60th Miss International edition is about to begin in Tokyo, Japan, and over 60 contestants from around the world head their way to the host country. After being canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Miss International 2022 is finally going to be held on December 13 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. At the end of the event, the longest reigning Miss International Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand will crown her successor with a brand new crown by Long Beach Pearl. This year's competition takes on the theme "Beauties For SDGs" to promote the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Two countries are joining for the first time — Cape Verde and Uzbekistan, while Cuba, Greece, Jamaica, Kenya, Namibia, Sierra Leone, South Korea, and Uruguay are all set to return. Ivis Nicole Snyder, a 25-year-old elementary school teacher and counselor, has been officially announced as Señorita Panamá 2022 (Miss Panama). Organización Señorita Panamá (Miss Panama Organization) made the decision to appoint last year's runner-up as the successor of Brenda Smith, the winner of Señorita Panamá 2021 and Top 16 semi-finalist at 70th Miss Universe, instead of carrying out a national competition. Miss Portuguesa, Andrea Rubio was crowned Miss International Venezuela 2022 during Miss Venezuela 2022 national final held on Wednesday, November 16 at the Poliedro de Caracas. The 23-year-old beauty was selected among 24 competitors for the national title. She is a social communicator, professional model, and digital content creator. Isbel Parra of Región Guayana, who will compete in Miss International 2022 this December in Japan, relinquished her reign at the end of the event. Venezuela won Miss International eight times with Nina Sicilia Hernandez (1985), Consuelo Adler (1997), Vivian Urdaneta (2000), Goizeder Azua (2003), Daniela di Giacomo (2006), Elizabeth Mosquera (2010), Edymar Martínez (2015), and Mariem Velazco (2018). Miss Atlántico, Sofía Osío Luna, was crowned Señorita Colombia 2022 - 2023 (Miss Colombia) on Sunday, November 13 at the Centro de Convenciones Cartagena de Indias in Cartagena, Bolívar. The 22-year-old graduate of fashion marketing and communication from Barranquilla beat 28 other contestants to win the "Concurso Nacional de Belleza" and wear the new crown by Caribbean Jewelry. She succeeds last year's winner Valentina Espinosa of Bolivar and is now expected to represent Colombia at Miss International 2023 in Japan. Valentina Mora Trujillo of Antioquia, a 24-year-old social communicator, was named Virreina Nacional and will possibly go to Miss Supranational 2023 in Poland. Miss Denmark Organization headed by its CEO Lisa Lents proudly announced Dana Myrvig as Miss International Denmark 2022 and will head over to the Miss International 2022 in Tokyo, Japan this December. The 26-year-old social educator, activist, and model graduated with a bachelor's degree in social education and a diploma in neuropsychology. She was a finalist in Miss Denmark 2019 and now succeeded Anna Diekelmann, Miss International Denmark 2019. Dana was born in Mali to a Danish father and a Sudanese mother. Over the last six years, she has been passionate about charity and volunteering, especially for disabled people and children, and her biggest dream is to open her own volunteer center. This year's Miss International pageant celebrates its 60th edition and also marks its return after a 2-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
