Ivis Nicole Snyder appointed as Señorita Panamá 2022

Ivis Nicole Snyder, a 25-year-old elementary school teacher and counselor, has been officially announced as Señorita Panamá 2022 (Miss Panama). Organización Señorita Panamá (Miss Panama Organization) made the decision to appoint last year's runner-up as the successor of Brenda Smith, the winner of Señorita Panamá 2021 and Top 16 semi-finalist at 70th Miss Universe, instead of carrying out a national competition. The new Señorita Panamá, who is an abuse and mental health advocate, will represent her country at the 60th Miss International (Miss International 2022) in Tokyo, Japan this December. Valerie Clairisse Solís Valderrama has been officially announced as Miss Earth Panama 2022 on Wednesday, October 5 at Envy Club Panama in Panama City. The 18-year-old model, gymnast and ambassador of Panama Academica will represent her country at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant in the Philippines this November. No stranger to pageantry, Valeria held the titles Miss Teenager Panama and Miss Teenager Universe 2020. Last year's Miss Earth Panama, Jillyan Chue relinquished her crown during the special coronation ceremony held by Panameña Universal Organization. Panama has yet to win the Miss Earth title. Its highest placement was in 2006 with Stefanie de Roux Martin who finished in the Top 8. Miss Grand Panama 2022 is Laura Sofia de Sanctis

Laura Sofia de Sanctis has been officially announced as Miss Grand Panama 2022 on Friday, September 9 and she will represent Panama at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October. The 26-year-old social communication graduate is a radio and television presenter, an actress, and a professional model. She is currently working as a logistics manager for a fish processing company and also the CEO of Mundo de Madre Selva, a company focused on working with salvaged wood, which she herself works with Panamanian artisans. In addition, the new Miss Grand Panama is an animal lover, especially cats, and is passionate about philanthropy. She has carried out personal campaigns for various organizations related to cancer prevention, child labor, and tree planting. No stranger to pageantry, Laura is a former winner of Señorita Panama. Miss Universo Panamá 2022 Solaris Barba officially crowned

Solaris Barba has been officially crowned as Miss Universo Panamá 2022 (Miss Universe Panama) in a special grand coronation event that took place on Friday, September 2 in Panama City. The 23-year-old model, businesswoman, and TV host received her crown from Ricardo Canto, the president of the new Miss Universo Panamá organization. She was appointed last May and the official announcement was made at a special press conference. This year, a new crown called "La Mariposa de Los Dos Mares" (The Butterfly of the Two Seas) which was designed by the organization president himself and crafted by Venezuelan jeweler and crown maker George Wittels has been introduced. The crown is a symbol of delicacy, transformation, and strength that celebrates women from all regions of Panama along with their history, their races, and their great achievements. Solaris Barba was officially named Miss Universo Panamá 2022 (Miss Universe Panama) in a press presentation that took place on Wednesday, May 25 in Panama City. The 23-year-old psychology student, model, TV host and businesswoman from Arraiján edged out nine other beauties to clinch the title. She succeeds last year's titleholder Brenda Smith and will now prepare to represent Panama at Miss Universe 2022. The official presentation gala of the Miss Mundo Panamá 2022 (Miss World Panama 2022) candidates will be held on Thursday, February 17 at the Teatro Pacific in Panama City, following health security measures. It will be the first official public appearance of the girls, where they will show their skills on the catwalk, in addition to receiving the official sashes of their regions that identify them as candidates in the race for the national crown. Señorita Panamá 2021: Brenda Smith to represent Panama at 70th Miss Universe pageant

Brenda Smith Lezama was crowned Señorita Panamá 2021 (Miss Panama) in a glittering competition held on Sunday, November 7 at the Wyndham Panamá Albrook Mall Hotel & Convention Center in Panama City. The 26-year-old US-born activist and lecturer of Afro-Panamanian and Mexican descent holds a degree in journalism and cultural studies. She succeeds Señorita Panamá 2020 Carmen Isabel Jaramillo. Cecilia Medina was named Señorita Panamá Supranational 2021 (Miss Panama Supranational) and while Katheryn Yejas clinched the Señorita Panamá Grand 2022 (Miss Panama Grand) title while Hillary Watson and Ivis Nicole Snyder were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Jillyan Chue, representing Colón, was crowned Miss Earth Panama 2021 in a glittering competition held at the Teatro En Circulo in Panama City on Saturday, September 11. The 25-year-old professional model graduated with a degree in social communication from the Universidad Catolica Santa Maria La Antigua. Jessybel Babikian, Justine De Frias, and Liney Mena were named Miss Earth Air, Water, Fire, respectively, while Nathaly De la Flor Herrera bagged the Miss Of Latinamerica Panamá title.
