Miss Teen USA 2023: New Jersey's UmaSofia Srivastava wins Costume Show

The state costume show for Miss Teen USA 2023 was held on Wednesday, September 27 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2023 UmaSofia Srivastava was announced as the winner for her honeybee-inspired costume designed by fashion designer Simon Villalba. The Honeybee is New Jersey's official state bug. "This costume is very special to me because my mom has called me her little bee all my life (swipe to the end), and to discover that the honeybee is New Jersey's state insect made the connection I feel to my wonderful state, that much deeper," she shared on social media after winning the award. "I'm so proud I got to channel my inner queen bee tonight because I believe that all of us can learn from the hardworking and selfless nature of the honeybee," she added. The award for best state costume for Miss USA 2023 went to Miss Hawaii USA 2023 Savannah Gankiewicz for her Maui's banyan tree-inspired costume. Photos:

Fifty-one equally beautiful teens from across the United States of America are vying for the highly coveted national title currently held by Faron Medhi of Nebraska. Miss USA 2023 to air live on CW this September 29

For the first time since 2019, the annual Miss USA pageant will air live on national television. The CW Television Network will broadcast Miss USA 2023 on September 29 at 8 p.m. EST from the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. Miss Teen USA 2023 will also be held at the same venue, on September 28 at 7 p.m. EST, and will stream live on the network's official app and website. Further details on the upcoming national competitions including the hosts and members of the selection committee have yet to be announced. Miss New York USA 2023 is Rachelle di Stasio

Rachelle di Stasio was crowned Miss New York USA 2023 on Sunday, August 6 at The Performing Arts Center, Purchase College in Harrison, New York. The 26-year-old former American Ballet Theatre ballerina, model, and mental health and domestic violence advocate will now represent New York at upcoming Miss USA 2023. Zoe McGrady was named first runner-up while Carter Brown, Marizza Delgado, Christiana DiNardo, and Emely Matute were the second, third, fourth, and fifth runners-up, respectively. New Miss USA and Miss Teen USA franchise partner announced

Fashion designer Laylah Rose has been announced as the new license holder and will serve as the president and CEO for the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants. The founder of Laylah Rose Couture and also the CEO of VIP Pageantry replaces Miss Brand and former Miss USA national director Crystle Stewart. Reno, Nevada will again host this year's Miss USA and Miss Teen USA with Emmy Award-winning executive producer Kerri Zane of Kerri Zane Enterprises and Bud Brutsman of Brentwood Communications International, Inc. handling the productions. The much-awaited Miss USA 2023 and Miss Teen USA 2023 competitions will take place at the Grand Sierra Resort the week of September 25, 2023. Further details have yet to be announced. Former Miss USA Crystle Stewart will no longer be the national director for the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions. To recall, the Miss Universe Organization gave her a license to run the pageants in 2020 but a suspension occurred in October of last year following rigged allegations that were thrown at the results of Miss USA 2022. Sarah Anderson was crowned Miss Minnesota USA 2023 in a glittering state competition held on Sunday, July 30 at the Ames Center in Burnsville. The 20-year-old model representing Maple Grove bested more than 30 other competitors to win the state title. She succeeds last year's winner Madeline Helget (Miss USA 2022 Top 12) and will now prepare to represent her home state at Miss USA 2023. "Wow, the last 24 hours have been a whirlwind. Last night was so incredible and one I will never forget. Haley Jordan, representing Central Indiana, was crowned Miss Indiana USA 2023 in a state competition held on Monday, July 17 at the Noblesville High School Auditorium. The 25-year-old sports reporter and broadcasting teacher from Indianapolis is a graduate of Indiana University where she double-majored in broadcast journalism and Spanish. She succeeds Miss Indiana USA 2022 Sammy Toney and will now prepare to represent her home state at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada later this year. Her court of runners-up consists of Audrey Schiegel (Spirit of Indiana), Ariah Leary (Evansville), Lexie Dames (Indianapolis), Olivia Johnson (Owen County), and Kiki Walls (Gary). The rest of the Top 16 were Kyra Hoss, Taylor Collins, AK Flude, Katie Whippie, Amanda Pirkowski, Kayla Owens, Adrianna Moore, Ruby Aurora, Lauren Frank, and Caroline Kerr. Miss Colorado USA 2023 is Arianna Lemus

Arianna Lemus, representing Gunnison, was crowned Miss Colorado USA 2023 on Sunday, July 16 at the Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley. The 27-year-old beauty of Mexican descent succeeds Alexis Glover and will now prepare to represent Colorado at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada. Tianna Cooks of Cimarron Hills finished as first runner-up while Sydney Hella of Red Rocks, Brina Bily of Central Colorado, and Haley Lara of Brighton were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.  The new Miss Colorado USA is a filmmaker, model, actress, writer, producer, and student pursuing a degree in pre-counseling at Capela University. No stranger to pageantry, Arianna placed first runner-up to her predecessor during last year's competition. Haylee Puckett was crowned Miss Texas Teen USA 2023 in a glittering state competition held on Sunday, July 16 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel. The 17-year-old high school student representing Space City bested over 60 other competitors to win the state title. She succeeds last year's winner Chanel Williams and will now proceed to represent Texas at Miss Teen USA 2023 later this year. Amaris Leon was named first runner-up while Dylana Estrella, Fernanda Gonzalez, and Rebecca Camposano were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Noelia Voigt bested 19 other competitors to win Miss Utah USA 2023 on Saturday, July 8 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center (Jeanne Wagner Theater) in Salt Lake City. The 23-year-old Venezuelan-American interior designer and author representing Park City will now prepare to represent Utah at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada this fall.
