Manika Vishwakarma was crowned Miss Universe India 2025 in a national competition held on Monday, August 18 in Jaipur. The 22-year-old model and student from Rajasthan will now prepare to represent India at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. At the same event, Roosh Sindhu from Gujarat was crowned Miss International India 2025 and will head to Miss International 2025, also this November, in Tokyo, Japan. Tanya Sharma, Mehak Dhingra, Amishi Kaushik, and Sarangthem Nirupama were named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu will make her Bollywood debut with "Baaghi 4" which is scheduled for release on September 5. India's third Miss Universe winner will star alongside Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonam Bajwa. The upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller was directed by A. Rhea Singha was crowned Miss Universe India 2024 on Sunday, September 22 at the Zee Studios in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The 19-year-old beauty from Ahmedabad, Gujarat bested 50 other competitors to win the national title. She received her crown from Indian actress and former Miss Universe India Urvashi Rautela. Pranjal Priya was named first runner-up while Chhavi Verg, Sushmita Roy, and Ruopfuzhano Whiso were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Fresh from her trip to the Philippines, Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios arrived in India on Wednesday, April 8 to continue her Asia Tour. The Nicaraguan beauty queen was warmly welcomed early in the morning at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi by the new Miss Universe India team. The national license for the Miss Universe pageant in India was previously held by Miss Diva under its parent organization, Femina Miss India. Since February this year, it was taken over by the Glamanand Group with owner Nikhil Anand as the new national director. An independent Miss Universe India organization was established.
