Miss Universe Panama 2023 is Natasha Vargas

Miss Los Santos, Natasha Vargas was crowned Miss Panama 2023 (Miss Universe Panama 2023) in a glittering competition held on Wednesday, September 13 at the Teatro Anayansi (Centro de Convenciones de Atlapa) in Panama City. The 25-year-old journalism graduate bested 14 other competitors to win the national title. She succeeds Solaris Barba and will now prepare to represent Panama at Miss Universe 2023 this November in El Salvador. Katherine Fuentes of Chiriquí and Diana Lemos of Panamá Oeste were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Rounding out the Top 7 finalists were the representatives of Bocas del Toro, Guadalupe Ureña, Las Perlas, Luisa López, Panamá Centro, Italy Peñaloza, and Veraguas, Karliz Moreno. A total of 15 equally beautiful competitors have been selected to compete for the national title which is currently held by Solaris Barba. Miss Universo Panamá 2022 Solaris Barba officially crowned

Solaris Barba has been officially crowned as Miss Universo Panamá 2022 (Miss Universe Panama) in a special grand coronation event that took place on Friday, September 2 in Panama City. The 23-year-old model, businesswoman, and TV host received her crown from Ricardo Canto, the president of the new Miss Universo Panamá organization. She was appointed last May and the official announcement was made at a special press conference. This year, a new crown called "La Mariposa de Los Dos Mares" (The Butterfly of the Two Seas) which was designed by the organization president himself and crafted by Venezuelan jeweler and crown maker George Wittels has been introduced. The crown is a symbol of delicacy, transformation, and strength that celebrates women from all regions of Panama along with their history, their races, and their great achievements. Solaris Barba was officially named Miss Universo Panamá 2022 (Miss Universe Panama) in a press presentation that took place on Wednesday, May 25 in Panama City. The 23-year-old psychology student, model, TV host and businesswoman from Arraiján edged out nine other beauties to clinch the title. She succeeds last year's titleholder Brenda Smith and will now prepare to represent Panama at Miss Universe 2022. "Today officially marks the beginning of a path full of change and hope for all, this is the moment to break a pattern in the contests, truly celebrating women. Not only to its beauty but to its essence and the strength that transcends facing fears to touch hearts through dreams," Solaris shared on social media after being named Miss Universe Panama. Señorita Panamá 2021: Brenda Smith to represent Panama at 70th Miss Universe pageant

Brenda Smith Lezama was crowned Señorita Panamá 2021 (Miss Panama) in a glittering competition held on Sunday, November 7 at the Wyndham Panamá Albrook Mall Hotel & Convention Center in Panama City. The 26-year-old US-born activist and lecturer of Afro-Panamanian and Mexican descent holds a degree in journalism and cultural studies. She succeeds Señorita Panamá 2020 Carmen Isabel Jaramillo. Cecilia Medina was named Señorita Panamá Supranational 2021 (Miss Panama Supranational) and while Katheryn Yejas clinched the Señorita Panamá Grand 2022 (Miss Panama Grand) title while Hillary Watson and Ivis Nicole Snyder were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Señorita Panamá is no stranger to pageantry as she has previously participated in several state and national competitions in the US and Mexico such as Miss Teen USA and Mexicana Universal.
