Miss Universe Thailand 2022 Anna Sueangam-iam finally released her stunning photos shot by New York City-based fashion photographer Fadil Berisha and they're currently receiving a lot of positive feedback on her social media. The photos she captioned "Crowns aren’t made of rhinestones. They’re made of discipline, determination and a hard to find alloy called courage" were taken during her official trip to New York in September. Anna is expected to be back in the USA this January for the 71st Miss Universe pageant which will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is one of several other contestants for the upcoming Miss Universe edition that was photographed by the world-renowned photographer. Thailand's Anna Sueangam-iam to wear Songkran-inspired costume for 71st Miss Universe

Miss Universe Thailand 2022 Anna Sueangam-iam will be wearing a Songkran-inspired national costume for the upcoming 71st Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Thailand organizers revealed the winning design called "Iconic of Songkran" on Wednesday, October 12 on its official social media accounts. Out of hundreds of entries from talented Thai designers, three were selected to present their concept to the Miss Universe Thailand committee, and eventually, one design won the majority of the fans' and the judges' votes. Designed by Kamolrose Siriassawakul, the inspiration for the national costume is the Songkran Festival which is annually celebrated on April 13, during the Thai New Year's national holiday. Anna Sueangam-iam bested 28 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2022 in a glittering event held on Saturday, July 30 at True Icon Hall, Iconsiam, in Bangkok. The 23-year-old beauty succeeds last year's winner Anchilee Scott-Kemmis and will represent Thailand at the 71st Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2022) pageant. Nicolene Limsnukan and Kanyalak Nookaew were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Suchata Chuangsri and Renita Veronica Pagano completed the Top 5 finalists. Miss Universe Thailand 2022 unveils 'Power of Resilience' crown by Mouawad

A new crown for Miss Universe Thailand 2022 was unveiled during the "Ignite the Night" gala dinner and jewelry fashion show at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Bangkok on Friday, July 22. The "Power of Resilience" crown by Mouawad features the peacock feather and lotus flower, to symbolize the interlocking harmony of the community. Its peridot gemstones' green hues radiate fresh beginnings and growth. The masterpiece is encrusted with 43 pear-shaped peridots and one marquise peridot, weighing 101.08 carats. These are nestled among 158.24 carats of marquise-cut and round white topaz gems and 4.19 carats of round white diamonds to evoke purity and honesty. Miss Universe Thailand 2022 will take place next Saturday, July 30 at True Icon Hall, Iconsiam, in Bangkok. Miss Universe Thailand 2022 kicks off, final competition takes place on July 30

Miss Universe Thailand 2022, themed "New Beginnings" has officially kicked off with a press conference at Siam Paragon in Bangkok on Thursday, June 16 to announce the details of this year's competition. The winner, who will succeed last year's titleholder Anchilee Scott-Kemmis and represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2022, will be awarded the "Power of Resilience" crown by Mouawad and take home 1 million baht, a condominium unit, a car plus other prizes from sponsors. PPTV HD will broadcast the swimsuit competition round on July 17, the preliminary on July 27, and the final on July 30 in a venue that has yet to be disclosed. TPN Global, the Miss Universe franchise holder in Thailand, is now on its fourth consecutive year as organizers of the national competition in the country. Thailand's Anchilee Scott-Kemmis departs for 70th Miss Universe in Israel

Miss Universe Thailand 2021 Anchilee Scott-Kemmis departed for Israel on Tuesday, November 23 to compete in the 70th Miss Universe pageant. The 22-year-old beauty who majored in sociology at the University of Sydney was wearing a blue jumpsuit by Thai fashion designer, Narong Ketkaew, during her departure.  Many fans and members of the press flocked to the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Former Miss Universe Thailand and Miss Universe Top 10 finalist, Amanda Obdam, was also present to show her support. Anchilee will compete with over 70 other contestants from around the world to try to win her country's third Miss Universe crown on December 12 in the southern Israeli port and resort town of Eilat. Anchilee Scott-Kemmis bested 29 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2021 in a glittering national competition held on Sunday, October 24 at the NICE Pattaya, Convention and Exhibition Center. The 22-year-old Thai-Australian model and social researcher holds a bachelor's degree in sociology. She succeeds last year's winner and Miss Universe Top 10 finalist, Amanda Obdam. Miss Universe Thailand 2020 Amanda Obdam sparked a controversy for her answer in a viral video from her question and answer training for Miss Universe. The question was "If you have to choose a leader, between a smart person with a bit of corruption or somebody who is quite incapable but then he is very clean, which kind of leader would you choose?" Amanda replied: "Corruption is never right and should not be in any country. However, I would have to choose a leader who is capable of leading the country even though that would cause corruption.
