71st Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel visits Indonesia for commercial shoot

R'Bonney Gabriel touched down in Lombok, Indonesia to shoot a commercial for YOU•C1000 Vitamin earlier this week. The reigning Miss Universe stunned in a Lombok's traditional clothing while shooting for the Indonesian vitamin C health beverage. Lombok is an island known for beaches and surfing spots in West Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia. This was R'Bonney's first official visit to Indonesia and first travel abroad since she bagged the 71st Miss Universe crown last month in New Orleans. "This is actually my fourth time in Indonesia and I love visiting every time," she shared and added that she previously visited Ubud, Canggu, Mount Rinjani, and Bukittinggi. Miss Belgium now recovering from serious injuries after car accident

Reigning Miss Belgium Chayenne Van Aarle was seriously injured after her car crashed into a truck outside Antwerp on Tuesday afternoon. The 23-year-old who competed in the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans is due to relinquish her national title at Miss Belgium 2023 final this Saturday. According to reports, she was taken to the hospital unconscious from the sustained injuries on her face and the rest of her body but she is now in stable condition. The Miss Belgium Organization confirmed that the beauty queen is now "on the mend and everything is going to be fine" but in her current situation, it seems unlikely that she will crown her successor in the upcoming event. This was not the first car accident that happened to a national titleholder at the beginning of the year. Miss Universe franchise no longer with Puteri Indonesia

The Miss Universe pageant has entered a new era in Indonesia as its national franchise now belongs to a new company. Previously held by Puteri Indonesia for almost two decades, the Miss Universe Indonesia franchise is now under Jakarta-based PT Capella Swastika Karya. Indonesian singer and actress Poppy Capella will serve as its chairwoman with AVUE Chief Executive Officer Eldwen Wang as the national director. They are joined by Safa Attamimi as the chief operating officer and fashion stylist Niel Dimitrij as project director, among others. This surprising turn of events is just one of the many changes in the Miss Universe Organization since ownership went to Thai media mogul Anne Jakrajutatip late last year and expect more surprises to come. Former Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi shared a touching tribute on the first anniversary of her friend and former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst's death on January 30. The South African beauty who won Miss Universe in 2019 went to social media to post an old video of her while wearing a matching outfit with Cheslie.
