Miss Venezuela organization responds to allegations, explains selection process

Miss Venezuela organization released an official statement explaining its selection process in response to allegations related to the results of the recently concluded Miss Venezuela 2022 final won by Diana Silva of Distrito Capital. According to the statement, since 2018 the evaluation process of the candidates is continuous and is made up of four different stages because the evolution of the young women cannot be measured solely and exclusively with the performance they have during the final night. Here are the important stages of the selection process: First - The first stage of the evaluation is the online application, a filter that the aspirants must go through when registering for the competition and their records must comply with all the requirements requested for registration. Miss International Venezuela 2022 is Miss Portuguesa, Andrea Rubio

Miss Portuguesa, Andrea Rubio was crowned Miss International Venezuela 2022 during Miss Venezuela 2022 national final held on Wednesday, November 16 at the Poliedro de Caracas. The 23-year-old beauty was selected among 24 competitors for the national title. She is a social communicator, professional model, and digital content creator. Isbel Parra of Región Guayana, who will compete in Miss International 2022 this December in Japan, relinquished her reign at the end of the event. Venezuela won Miss International eight times with Nina Sicilia Hernandez (1985), Consuelo Adler (1997), Vivian Urdaneta (2000), Goizeder Azua (2003), Daniela di Giacomo (2006), Elizabeth Mosquera (2010), Edymar Martínez (2015), and Mariem Velazco (2018). Miss Venezuela 2022 is Diana Silva of Distrito Capital

Miss Distrito Capital, Diana Silva, bagged the title of Miss Venezuela 2022 during the 70th year anniversary edition of the Miss Venezuela pageant on Wednesday, November 16 at the Poliedro de Caracas. The 25-year-old cabin crew and advertising student succeeded last year's winner Amanda Dudamel and will now represent Venezuela at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant (Miss Universe 2023). She was also awarded Miss Photogenic. Miss Portuguesa, Andrea Rubio, 23, was crowned Miss Venezuela International 2022 by outgoing titleholder Isbel Parra of Región Guayana. She will go to the 61st Miss International (Miss International 2023) in Japan. Former Miss Distrito Capital and Miss Venezuela 2019 third runner-up Oriana Pablos has been officially named Miss Earth Venezuela 2022 on Tuesday, October 4. "La Magia de Ser Miss" (The Magic of Being Miss) premiered on Saturday, September 24 on Venevisión to learn more about the contestants vying for Miss Venezuela 2022. Hosted by the beautiful Nieves Soteldo and the charismatic Mario Bruno, the show featured the first group of contestants representing Apure, La Guaira, Mérida, Nueva Esparta, Táchira, and Yaracuy. The highly anticipated official presentation of the 24 contestants vying for Miss Venezuela 2022 took place on Saturday, November 10 in Caracas. Hosted by "Súper Sábado Sensacional" presenter Henrys Silva, the special show aired on Venevisión with simultaneous live streaming on missvenezuela.tv . Luiseth Materán to represent Venezuela at Miss Grand International 2022

Former Miss Universe Venezuela, Luiseth Materán, has now been confirmed as the new Miss Grand Venezuela 2022. The 26-year-old actress and social communication graduate from Los Teques, Miranda replaced Sabrina Deraneck who resigned due to personal reasons. Luiseth is no stranger to pageantry. She was named Miss Globe Venezuela 2015 and later on, she represented her home state of Miranda during Miss Venezuela 2020 and placed in the Top 5. Last year, she was appointed as Miss Universe Venezuela and went on to compete in Miss Universe 2021 in Israel where she placed in the Top 16. The new Miss Grand Venezuela will now prepare to represent her country in the upcoming Miss Grand International 2022 pageant in Indonesia this October. Sabrina Deraneck resigns as Miss Grand Venezuela 2022

Sabrina Deraneck officially announced her resignation as Miss Grand Venezuela and will no longer be competing in Miss Grand International 2022. In an official statement on social media, she said: "Giving up a dream or a crown is not easy at all, but it's not wrong to do it when it comes to your health and all your personal well-being. Sometimes there are those very personal reasons that force you to do it and this time it was my turn." She added that it was a difficult decision to make but according to her: "God is in charge of guiding my steps and making them the right thing, at the right moment and time. There will always be reasons to continue and I'm sure there are many ways to represent my beautiful country Venezuela later on." The 23-year-old beauty was unveiled as Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 during the national competition held in Caracas last August 13. Miss Venezuela 2022 first 19 contestants announced

The names of the first 19 contestants competing for Miss Venezuela 2022, the 70th Miss Venezuela edition, have been announced. According to Nina Sicilia, former Miss International and now general manager of Miss Venezuela organization, from around 300 beauties were shortlisted through the online application process, only 60 advanced to the face-to-face evaluation and finally, only 19 made it to the final list. There will be 24 official contestants when the representatives from the states of Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Carabobo, Monagas, and Zulia have been selected at their regional competitions later this month. The contestants will receive their assigned sashes in early September and will go through a series of events and training sessions leading up to the final in Caracas this November whose winner will be chosen for Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International. Sabrina Deraneck was proclaimed Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 on Saturday, August 13 at Teatro Municipal de Caracas (Municipal Theater of Caracas). The 23-year-old teacher by profession from the state of Mérida will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October. Alia Abized, 19, of Nueva Esparta, and Valentina Martinez, 22, of Anzoátegui were named Miss Elite Venezuela and Miss Grand Venezuela 2023, respectively. They are expected to compete in next year's Miss Elite World and Miss Grand International editions. A total of 22 beauties participated during the first edition of Miss Grand Venezuela. A 26-year-old businesswoman from Guatire, Selene Delgado, was crowned Miss Supranational Venezuela 2023. She will represent Venezuela at Miss Supranational 2023.
