Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 is Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau bested 40 other contestants to win Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 on Saturday, June 25 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Le Thao Nhi and Huynh Pham Thuy Tien were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Le Hoang Phuong and Nguyen Thi Huong Ly completed the Top 5 finalists. Reining Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu together with former queens Catriona Gray and Natalie Glebova graced the competition as international judges. Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart and CEO Amy Emmerich were also present to witness the glittering show. The new Miss Universe Vietnam is a 28-year-old model from Tay Ninh. She was a winner of Vietnam's Next Top Model, crowned Miss Supranational Vietnam, and placed in the Top 10 at Miss Supranational 2019 in Poland where she earned the title of Miss Supranational Asia. A new crown "Vinawoman - Infinity by IJC" was unveiled for Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 at Sofitel Saigon Plaza Hotel on Monday, June 20. The crown signifies the intellectual strength, dignity as well as bravery, in daring to face the challenges of a Vietnamese woman before the new era. IJC jewelers spent more than 2,000 hours working with more than 20 artisans to craft the masterpiece from high-quality white gold, studded with 3 yellow sapphires at the center, 279 sapphires, and 2,137 diamonds of different sizes completely covering the crown frame. Tiaras named "Sunshine by IJC" made with 3 citrine ovals connected with 51 citrine plates and 1,130 white gems of different sizes, and Hera by IJC" with 3 citrine ovals connected with 28 citrine plates and 539 white gemstones of different sizes, were also crafted for the first and second runners-up, respectively. Reigning Miss International Sireethorn Leearamwat has officially arrived for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to attend the special send-off ceremony for Miss International Vietnam 2022. The Thai beauty was accompanied by Miss International Media Director Stephen Inventor Diaz during her official visit to the Southeast Asian country. Miss International Vietnam organizers, Sen Vang Entertainment, held an official press conference to sash Miss Vietnam 2020 runner-up and now Vietnam's representative to the upcoming 60th Miss International pageant, Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh. Reigning Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu to visit Vietnam for Miss Universe Vietnam 2022

Apart from former Miss Universe Catriona Gray, Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu has also been invited to visit Vietnam for the upcoming Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 pageant. The Indian beauty queen will be joined by the Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart and newly appointed CEO Amy Emmerich. According to the national pageant organizers, Harnaaz will be "will be present at important events" including the final night. The reigning Miss Universe has previously traveled to the Philippines and Indonesia for official visits to grace their respective national competitions. Former Miss Universe Catriona Gray to attend Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 final

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray from the Philippines has been officially announced as a special guest judge for the upcoming Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 pageant. The former beauty queen will join fellow Miss Universe titleholder Natalie Glebova of Canada in the judging panel to select Vietnam's representative for Miss Universe 2022. Vietnamese pageant fans could not contain their excitement over Catriona's first official visit to the country almost four years after winning Miss Universe with her iconic "lava walk" and "slow-mo turn" in Bangkok, Thailand. Catriona will also be reunited with her Miss Universe sister H'Hen Nie, a former Miss Universe Vietnam and Miss Universe 2018 Top 5 finalist. Send-off event held for Miss and Mister Supranational Vietnam 2022, national competition launched

A send-off event was held for Miss Supranational Vietnam 2022 Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen and Mister Supranational Vietnam 2022 Dat Kyo who will represent their country at Miss and Mister Supranational 2022 in Poland this July. This year's national competition was also officially launched. The press conference took place at Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday, May 17. Unimedia in collaboration with Leading Media will organize a special reality TV format for the pageant which is expected to run for several months and the final will take place later this year. Miss Universe Vietnam accepts first-ever transgender contestant

Another beauty was surprisingly added to the official Top 70 contestants of the Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 competition. The emotional announcement was made during the first episode of the reality TV show "I am Miss Universe Vietnam 2022" which aired on Saturday, April 16. Do Nhat Ha from Ho Chi Minh City made history as the first-ever transgender woman to be accepted as an official contestant after she received an honorary golden ticket from the organizing committee. No stranger to pageantry, Ha was Miss Tiffany Vietnam 2018 and a Top 6 finalist at Miss International Queen 2019, the biggest international beauty pageant for transgender women which is based in Thailand. The Top 70 official contestants who are vying for the title of Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 have been officially announced. Every Saturday starting April 16, the "I am Miss Universe Vietnam 2022" reality TV show will air on VTV9, local channels, and exclusively on the UNI NETWORK Youtube channel. The first episode "CATCH YOUR CHANCE" will start at 8:15 p.m. local time. Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 final competition will take place this June and the winner will represent Vietnam at the 71st Miss Universe edition (Miss Universe 2022) later this year. Former Miss Universe Natalie Glebova has arrived in Ho Chi Minch City to help mentor the contestants and be part of the judging panel who will have the important task of choosing the next deserving woman to wear the "Vinawoman" crown. Fresh from Bangkok, the reigning MGI was warmly welcomed by Miss Peru organizers and a few activities were lined up for her such as joining a charity project for the less fortunate at Villa Mosha in Jicamarca, meet and greet with fans, and the crowning ceremony for the new Miss Grand Peru. Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen has been officially announced to represent Vietnam at the Miss Supranational 2022 pageant in Poland. The 26-year-old business administration graduate from Can Tho was named Miss Universe Vietnam 2021 in May last year and recently joined the 70th Miss Universe competition in Israel where she placed in the Top 16. "I’m so proud to wear Miss Supranational Vietnam 2022 sash on my shoulder. Thank you for all your love and support," she shared on her official social media account. The newly appointed Miss Supranational Vietnam has proudly co-founded the Spreading the Love foundation which aims to assist disadvantaged students to continue pursuing education dreams. She also holds various roles in the community activities in healthcare, including HIV/AIDS program and environment. The Vietnamese beauty has always been a fan of TED Talk for its inspirational speeches that give hope and motivation to many young people in fulfilling their dreams. "The Mountain - Dare to Climb" was the theme of the event, and for her, the invitation to speak along with some influential individuals felt like conquering another mountain, a dream come true. Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien has finally returned to her home country Vietnam a month after winning her international beauty title in Bangkok, Thailand. The Vietnamese beauty queen was warmly welcomed by her fellow countrymen during today's homecoming parade and ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City. She is expected to stay a few weeks in her country before flying back to Thailand where she is based during her reign. Tien bested over 50 other contestants to win her country's first Miss Grand International title in December of last year at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok. Vietnam's Vu Huyen Dieu wins Miss Eco Teen International 2021

Vu Huyen Dieu, the representative of Vietnam, was crowned Miss Eco Teen International 2021 at Triumph Luxury Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. The 13-year-old beauty from Ho Chi Minh City succeeds Miss Eco Teen 2020 Roberta Tamondong of the Philippines. She is the youngest winner of the Egypt-based competition that promotes environmental causes for teenagers. Philippines' Tatyana Austria was named first runner-up while USA's Lia Macias placed second runner-up. The contestants from Belgium, Cameron lommelen, and Egypt, Habiba Osman were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Grand Vietnam, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, bested over 50 other contestants to be crowned Miss Grand International 2021 on Saturday, December 4 at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 23-year-old hospitality management student succeeds Abena of the United States of America. She's the first-ever Vietnamese woman to win the Miss Grand International beauty title. Ecuador's Andrea Victoria Aguilera finished first runner-up while Brazil's Lorena Goncalves Rodrigues was named the second runner-up. Vivianie Diaz Arroyo of Puerto Rico and Jeane Van Dam of South Africa were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
