Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 swimsuit competition Top 5 announced

The Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 pageant held its swimsuit competition on Saturday, September 23 at The Grand Ho Tram in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Wearing their official swimsuits from XITA by Katy Nguyen, the Top 18 contestants fiercely strutted the runway to earn a spot in the Top 5. At the end of the event, the five beauties who impressed the judges were Pham Thi Anh Thu (Ha Nam), Nguyen Thi Huong Ly (Gia Lai), Trinh Thi Hong Dang (HCMC), Lydie Vu (HCMC) and Bui Quynh Hoa (Hanoi). Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 Top 18 officially introduced, new crown unveiled

The Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 pageant has officially kicked off in an official press conference held on Monday, September 18 at the Lotte Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. Eighteen contestants selected to compete for this year's title have been officially introduced to the media — Huong Ly, Emma Le, Lydie Vu, Lan Anh, Diem My, Kim Anh, Quynh Nhu, Le Nam, Anh Nguyet, Mai Phuong Thao, Nhat Le, Dinh Thi Hoa, Bui Quynh Hoa, Pham Thu, Thu Uyên, Ngoc Mai, Hong Dang, and Lan Anh va H'Duyen. A new crown called "Life in the Sunrise" by Jessica Jewelry was also unveiled during the special event. It was crafted with natural topaz and sapphire, and worth over 2 billion Vietnamese dong. The winner of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023, to be crowned later this month, will represent the Southeast Asian country at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador this November. Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 is Le Hoang Phuong

Le Hoang Phuong was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 in a national competition held on Sunday, August 27 at the Phu Tho Indoor Sport Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. The 28-year-old fashion model and architecture graduate from Khanh Hoa province bested over 40 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Doan Thien An and will now prepare to compete in the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant to be held in her country this October. Bui Khanh Linh was named first runner-up while Truong Qui Minh Nhan, Le Thi Hong Hanh, and Dang Hoang Tam Nhu were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Reigning Miss Grand International Isabella Menin from Brazil graced the glittering event as a special guest with MGI executives Nawat Itsaragrisil and Teresa Chaivisut. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Grand Vietnam is a former contestant at Miss Universe Vietnam. She placed in the Top 5 in 2022 and bagged the Best in Swimsuit and Best Face in 2019.

After 15 years, Hoa Hậu Hoàn Vũ Việt Nam (formerly Miss Universe Vietnam) by Unicorp and Unimedia has welcomed a new era as it officially launched a new edition, new identity, and new title for its competition. Huynh Tran Y Nhi was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 22 at MerryLand Quy Nhon. The 21-year-old business administration student from Binh Dinh bested 39 other competitors to bag the national title. She was also announced the winner of the Top Model challenge. Dao Thi Hien and Huynh Minh Kien were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Bui Khanh Linh and Tran Thi Thoa Thuong rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 pageant officially launched

Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 was officially launched in a special press conference held on Wednesday, June 19 at Caravelle Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. Reigning Miss Earth Mina Sue Choi of Korea was honored as ambassador during the event organized by TNA Entertainment under the leadership of the entrepreneur, actress, and president of Miss Earth Vietnam Truong Ngoc Anh. The national competition will kick off official casting in August and the winner is expected to participate in the Miss Earth 2023 to be held in the country this December. Miss World Vietnam 2022 second runner-up Nguyen Phuong Nhi has been officially announced as Miss International Vietnam 2023. The 21-year-old beauty from Thanh Hoá succeeds Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh and will now prepare to represent Vietnam at Miss International 2023 this October in  Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Her official send-off and sashing ceremony will take place this Tuesday, March 23 at Sofitel Saigon Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City. Miss International Queen Vietnam 2023 is Nguyen Ha Diu Thao

Nguyen Ha Diu Thao was crowned Miss International Queen Vietnam 2023 in a glittering national pageant held on Saturday, April 8 in Ho Chi Minh City. The 23-year-old transgender beauty living in Binh Duong hails from Hai Duong. She will now prepare to represent Vietnam at Miss International Queen 2023 in Thailand. Nguyen Tuong San and Nguyen An Nhi were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Nguyen Trang Nhung, Nguyen Dan Tien, and Nguyen Vu Ha Anh rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Phung Truong Tran Dai, Miss International Queen Vietnam 2020 and Top 6 finalist during last year's world final in Pattaya, Thailand, passed the "Brave Dandelion" crown to her successor at the end of the event. Vietnam's Le Thao Nhi will no longer compete in Miss Universe 2023

Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 first runner-up Le Thao Nhi will no longer be able to join Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador later this year. The reason shared by the new Miss Universe Vietnam organization was due to agreement issues with Unicorp, the previous license holder and organizers of Hoa Hậu Hoàn Vũ Việt Nam. Despite Miss Universe's preference for its contestants to be winners only from annually organized national pageants, they were asked to consider Thao Nhi's participation in honor of Unicorp's huge contribution to the development of the brand in the country. But since an agreement could not be reached between the national organizations involved, a new worthy representative will be chosen to represent Vietnam at the 72nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant. Miss Eco Vietnam Nguyen Thanh Ha bested over 40 other contestants to win Miss Eco International 2023 on Friday, March 3 at the Triumph Luxury Hotel in Cairo. The 19-year-old beauty from Ben Tre Province succeeded last year's winner from the Philippines, Kathleen Paton. She is the first Vietnamese representative to win the Egypt-based international competition. Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were first runner-up from Nigeria, Odum Nnena, second runner-up from Mauritius, Yuvna Gookool, third runner-up from Cambodia, Ratana Sokhavatey, and fourth runner-up from Ecuador, Génesis Guerrero Cabrera. The new national director for Miss Universe Vietnam, Quỳnh Nga, was officially announced on Friday, February 24 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Moving forward, the news anchor and former pageant contestant will head the national competition that will select Vietnam's next representative at Miss Universe, starting with the 72nd edition (Miss Universe 2023) later this year in El Salvador. Miss Universe Vietnam Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Châu has been officially announced as the winner of the Swimsuit Cape Vote — an official fan vote conducted by the Miss Universe Organization on its official app. The winning cape was showcased during the 71st Miss Universe preliminary swimsuit competition which was held on January 11 in New Orleans. Ngọc Châu chose the design for her personalized cape as it motivates her to conquer her Miss Universe dream. Wearing it feels like she has all the support of the entire Vietnamese people. She believes her people love to protect and take care of each other.
