Miss South Africa 2022 Top 10 finalists announced

The Top 10 official finalists vying for the title of Miss South Africa 2022 have been announced on Monday, June 13 at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton. This year's national competition will take place at Time Square's SunBet Arena in Pretoria and the winners are expected to represent South Africa at the international Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Supranational pageants. Meet the Top 10 official finalists: Anarzade Omar (23) from Crown Gardens Johannesburg, Gauteng has a BA in Strategic Communication in Marketing from the University of Johannesburg and works as a social media manager at a digital marketing agency. Ayanda Thabethe (22) from Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal is currently pursuing a degree in dietetics and human nutrition. Itumeleng Parage (22) from Central Western Jabavu in Soweto, Gauteng is a law student who holds a Bachelor of Arts (law major) degree from the University of Witwatersrand. Natasha-Joan Mapulanga bested eight other finalists to be crowned Miss Zambia 2021/22 on Saturday, June 11 at Best Western Plus Lusaka Hotel. The 25-year-old international relations and development analyst hails from Lusaka. She succeeds Vanessa Ukevwe Chinyemba and is expected to represent her country at the Miss World pageant. Miss World Malta 2022 is Natalia Galea

Natalia Galea has been named Miss World Malta 2022 in a national competition held on Wednesday, June 8 in Fort St. Elmo. The 22-year-old lawyer, model, and actress from Santa Venera succeeds last year's titleholder Naomi Dingli. She will represent Malta at the 71st Miss World pageant. Amy Spiteri and Pearl Maria Micallef were the first and second runners-up, respectively. A total of 27 contestants participated in the 25th edition of the Miss World Malta pageant. Miss World's Julia Morley receives CBE in Her Majesty, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours List

Miss World Organization was delighted to share that Julia Morley has been awarded the CBE in Her Majesty, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours List. The CBE (Commander British Empire) has been awarded in recognition of Julia’s charitable and voluntary services to disadvantaged people in the UK and across the world. “I am absolutely thrilled. It is so special to be recognized in this way," said the Chairman and CEO of Miss World. Julia Morley coined the phrase "Beauty With A Purpose" as her vision for young women to use their talents to help those less fortunate than themselves. Officially launched in 1972, Beauty With A Purpose has had a significant impact on improving the lives of the sick and disadvantaged. 50 years later, the program is now operating in 142 countries with funds raised for humanitarian projects exceeding 1 billion US dollars. Miss World Philippines 2022 is Gwendolyne Fourniol of Negros Occidental

Gwendolyne Fourniol, representative of Negros Occidental, bested 35 other contestants to win the Miss World Philippines 2022 title at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Sunday, June 5. The 21-year-old Filipino-French beauty pursued a degree in economics from Oxford Brookes University in London. She is an advocate for education and has been working with a non-profit organization that sends underprivileged kids to school. "As an advocate of education, I do agree that during the pandemic we have suffered the most, but the children who have a lack of access to education have suffered the greatest," she answered during the question and answer portion.  She added, "And working hand in hand with ERDA Foundation who empowered the marginalized Filipino, I believe by uniting benefactors and encouraging our children and allowing them to go back to school, especially during this pandemic will make this world a better place because education is the greatest weapon against povert

Miss Polonia 2022 is Krystyna Sokołowska

Krystyna Sokołowska was crowned Miss Polonia 2021/2022 in a national competition held at the OSiR Sports and Spectacle Hall in Włocławek on Friday, May 27. The 25-year-old student and sports club owner from Białystok edged out 19 other beauties to win her title. She succeeds last year's winner, Natalia Gryglewska. Karolina Malina of Kołobrzeg and Julia Baryga of Łódź were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Klaudia Andrzejewska of Włocławek and Sylwia Bober of Biłgoraj completed the Top 5. Miss Polonia 2019 and reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska was present as a special guest at the glittering event. The new Miss Polonia was a former Miss Earth Poland winner who placed in the Top 10 at Miss Earth 2019 pageant held in the Philippines. It is not yet confirmed which international competition Krystyna will be sent to. Miss Polonia organization currently holds the national franchise for Miss World, Miss Intercontinental, and Miss Grand International pageants.

Miss Northern Ireland 2022 is Daria Gapska

Daria Gapska was crowned Miss Northern Ireland 2022 in a national final held at Europa Hotel in Belfast on Monday, May 23. The 20-year-old nursing student from Co Antrim bested 23 other contestants to win her title. She succeeds last year's winner Anna Leitch and will now prepare to represent Northern Ireland at the 71st Miss World pageant. Miss World Philippines 2022: Meet the finalists for Head to Head Challenge and Talent Competition

Maria Gigante of Cebu and Charyzah Esparrago of Taguig have been announced the Top 2 finalists at the conclusion of the Miss World Philippines 2022 Head to Head Challenge final round that took place on Monday, May 23 at Twin Lakes Hotel.  Angela Teng of Baliway, Bulacan, Ashley Subijano Montenegro of Makati, and Erika Kristensen of Carmona, Cavite were the rest of the Top 5. For the Talent Competition, 5 contestants emerged at the top from their presentations on Tuesday, May 24 at Hotel Lucky China Town. They are Alison Black of Las Piñas, Gwendolyne Fourniol of Negros Occidental, Paula Madarieta Ortega of Albay, Cassandra Bermeo Chan of San Juan, and Tsina Jade Chu of Iloilo Province. 71st Miss World: Meet the delegates from Bolivia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Honduras and Venezuela

Over 20 beauties have already been confirmed as representatives of their respective countries and territories for the 71st Miss World edition. The final competition and official venue of the prestigious pageant are yet to be announced by the Miss World Organization. Reigning queen Karolina Bielawska of Poland, the second Polish to win Miss World, will crown her successor at the end of the event. Here are the delegates from Bolivia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Honduras, and Venezuela: Miss World Bolivia 2021 Fernanda Rivero is 20 years old and currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in International Trade. She won the title Miss Bolivia Mundo 2021 while representing Beni during the national competition held in August last year. Miss World Costa Rica 2022 Krisly Salas, a 24-year-old nutrition student and founder of the social project “Cuenta Conmigo” was named Señorita Costa Rica last February. The purpose of the project is to be a voice of encouragement to those who suffer from anxiety
