Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach appeared on the "Drag Race Philippines" episode on Wednesday, September 7 as a special guest judge. Pia was dolled up wearing an ensemble inspired by her iconic blue Albert Andrada gown and the DIC crown when she won Miss Universe 2015. She joined the judges' table with celebrities KaladKaren, Paolo Ballesteros, and former "RuPaul's Drag Race" contestant Jiggly Caliente. Herlene Nicole Budol to represent the Philippines at Miss Planet International 2022

Binibining Pilipinas 2022 first runner-up Herlene Nicole Budol, also known as "hipon girl" has been officially announced as the representative of the Philippines at Miss Planet International 2022. The 23-year-old TV personality from Angono, Rizal will travel to Kampala, Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, to compete for the international title this November. Herlene's manager, entrepreneur Wilbert Tolentino was also revealed as the new Miss Planet International national director for the Philippines. Aside from her first runner-up finish in her first-ever national pageant, the new Miss Planet Philippines also bagged seven special awards, making her the record holder for having the most number of awards at Binibining Pilipinas. She took home the Miss Blackwater, Manila Bulletin Readers' Choice, Binibining Shein, Binibining Pizza Hut, Binibining Kumu, Jag Queen, Binibining Silka and Binibining World Balance. Four of the Philippines' most iconic queens were present at the launch of Vogue Philippines on Monday, August 29 at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila. Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray were together for a rare selfie moment during the glittering gala. The Filipina beauties were fabulous as ever in their high-fashion looks for the event. Catriona wore a beautiful creation made using recycled polyurethane plastic bottles by Jaggy Glarino ; Kylie looked super extra in a custom Mark Bumgarner ; Megan showed off her silhouette in a sexy Marc Rancy dress; and Pia stunned in a satin and lamé dress by Gucci . SPOTLIGHT: Mr World Philippines 2022 Kirk Bondad aims for his country's first Mr World title

A 25-year-old model and Century Tuna Superbods 2022 winner Kirk Bondad will represent the Philippines at the 11th Mr World pageant. The Filipino-German was officially announced as Mr World Philippines 2022 during the Miss World Philippines 2022 final competition held in June. Kirk is the brother of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray's ex-boyfriend, the model and actor Clint Bondad. He is also in a relationship right now with Filipino-Australian Kathleen Paton, the reigning Miss Eco International. Earlier this month, he announced teaming up with The CAMP for his training in preparation for the international pageant and hopefully bringing the first Mr World title to the Philippines. Miss Earth 2022 will be held in the Philippines this November

It's official - the long wait is now over. Miss Earth organization has finally announced the host country and the final date of this year's Miss Earth edition. After successfully mounting its second virtual pageant last year, Miss Earth 2022 is taking on a "hybrid" format with virtual and on-ground events in the Philippines. Miss Continentes Unidos 2022 is Joanna Camelle Mercado of the Philippines

Joanna Camelle Mercado, representing the Philippines, bested 24 other contestants to win Miss Continentes Unidos 2022 (Miss United Continents 2022) on Saturday, August 6 at Parque Las Vegas in Portoviejo, Ecuador. The 26-year-old resort ambassador from Floridablanca, Pampanga, holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education and worked as a teacher. She is the second woman from the Philippines to win the crown next to Jeslyn Santos. Ivanova Vélez of Ecuador was named first runner-up while Karen Ortíz of Colombia finished as second runner-up. The representatives of Venezuela, Lis Arbelaes, Paraguay, Gretha Matiauda, and Mexico, Ayram Ortíz were third, fourth, and fifth runners-up, respectively. Completing the Top 10 were Brazil, Larissa Barros, Peru, Kiara Chaud, Panama, Guadalupe Ureña, and South Africa, Jané Bacher. Jenny Ramp of Santa Ignacia, Tarlac, bested 20 other finalists to be crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2022 on Saturday, August 6 in Coron, Palawan. The 19-year-old psychology student succeeds last year's winner Naelah Alshorbaji. She will represent the Philippines at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant. Jimema Tempra of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, Angeline Mae Santos of Trece Martires City, Erika Vina Tan of Legazpi City and Nice Lampda of Bayugan City were named Miss Philippines Air, Water, Fire and Ecotourism, respectively. Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi asks fans to 'not engage with any form of hate'

The ongoing "rivalry" between pageant fans from a few countries has lately seemed to have gotten out of control. In her latest Instagram story, Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi called out a lot of "edited photos, insults and threats" she is being flooded online. "I have seen quite a lot just today and now before going to sleep," she wrote. After the recent #UniverseUnited conversation she had with Miss Universe Indonesia 2022 Laksmi Shari De Neefe Suardana and Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart, Celeste was hoping this "unnecessary cyberbullying would somehow stop or lessen." The 24-year-old Filipino-Italian beauty, who will represent the Philippines at the prestigious Miss Universe 2022 pageant later this year, asked her fans to "not answer and fight back." India's Sushmita Naveen Singh has been announced the winner of the Miss Continentes Unidos 2022 Best in National Costume. The event took place on Monday, August 1 at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Joanna Camelle Mercado of the Philippines placed second while Gretha Matiauda of Paraguay placed third. The 15th edition of the Miss United Continents pageant will be held on Saturday, August 6 at Parque Las Vegas in the city of Portoviejo.
