Miss Continentes Unidos 2022 is Joanna Camelle Mercado of the Philippines


Joanna Camelle Mercado, representing the Philippines, bested 24 other contestants to win Miss Continentes Unidos 2022 (Miss United Continents 2022) on Saturday, August 6 at Parque Las Vegas in Portoviejo, Ecuador.

The 26-year-old resort ambassador from Floridablanca, Pampanga, holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education and worked as a teacher. She is the second woman from the Philippines to win the crown next to Jeslyn Santos.

Ivanova Vélez of Ecuador was named first runner-up while Karen Ortíz of Colombia finished as second runner-up.

The representatives of Venezuela, Lis Arbelaes, Paraguay, Gretha Matiauda, and Mexico, Ayram Ortíz were third, fourth, and fifth runners-up, respectively.

Completing the Top 10 were Brazil, Larissa Barros, Peru, Kiara Chaud, Panama, Guadalupe Ureña, and South Africa, Jané Bacher.

Founded by Maria del Carmen de Aguayo in 2006, this year's competition was the 15th edition of the Ecuador-based international pageant. 

Anairis Cadavid of Colombia, who won in 2019, relinquished her crown to her successor at the end of the event.

Sarah Leena Boujaoude to represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2025

Miss Lebanon 2024 first runner-up Sarah Leena Boujaoude has recently been officially appointed as Miss Universe Lebanon 2025. The 20-year-old fashion model and a finance student at the American University of Beirut will represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2025. "My cause is to empower women by promoting self-acceptance and inner beauty," shared the new Miss Universe Lebanon. Miss Universe Chile 2025 is Inna Moll from Vitacura

Inna Moll, representing Vitacura, was crowned Miss Universe Chile 2025 in a national competitipn held on Friday, August 1 in Santiago. The 28-year-old model and influencer will now prepare to represent Chile at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Martina Kriskovich of Huechuraba was named first runner-up while María Jesús Honorato of Las Condes, Scarlett Hermosilla of Lo Barnechea, and Paula Jiménez of Providencia were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Denmark org releases statement after losing Miss Universe license

The Miss Denmark Organization no longer holds the license for Miss Universe Denmark while Dubai based Filipino socialite Josh Yugen recently emerged as new national director. In a statement on social media, the new license holder shared, "The House of Yugen, the global powerhouse behind some of the most groundbreaking and inclusive pageants in the world, has officially taken over the national license of Miss Universe Denmark." Gabrielle Henry bested over 20 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 on Saturday, August 9 at AC Hotel in Kingston. The 28-year-old medical doctor will represent Jamaica at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. She succeeds last year's winner Rachel Silvera. Jennifer Ventura Marte emerged as the winner of Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2025 on Sunday, August 10 at Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito in Santo Domingo. The 27-year-old civil engineer from Barahona bested 28 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent the Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November.
