Lilja Síf Pétursdóttir was crowned Ungfrú Ísland 2023 (Miss Universe Iceland 2023) in a glittering competition held on Wednesday, August 16 at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavík. The 19-year-old nursing home employee representing Capital Region bested 15 other finalists to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir and will now prepare to represent Iceland at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) pageant to be held in El Salvador this November. Former Miss Universe Chile, Sofia Depassier, has been officially announced as Miss Charm Chile 2024. The 25-year-old producer and television host for ¡HOLA! TV will now prepare to represent Chile at the Miss Charm 2024 pageant in Vietnam.
