Ungfrú Ísland 2023: Lilja Síf Pétursdóttir to represent Iceland at Miss Universe 2023


Lilja Síf Pétursdóttir was crowned Ungfrú Ísland 2023 (Miss Universe Iceland 2023) in a glittering competition held on Wednesday, August 16 at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavík.

The 19-year-old nursing home employee representing Capital Region bested 15 other finalists to win the national title.

She succeeds last year's winner Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir and will now prepare to represent Iceland at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) pageant to be held in El Salvador this November.

Miss Reykjavik (Helena Hafþórsdóttir O'Connor) placed second while Miss Husavik (Kolfinna Mist Austfjord), Miss Midnight Sun (Dagny Ósk Garðarsdóttir), and Miss Northern Lights (Borghildur Birta Einarsdóttir) were third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.

The rest of the Top 10 were Miss Land of Fire and Ice (Bahia Aurelie Ferro), Miss Akranes (Erla Dís Guðmundsdóttir), Miss Blue Mountains (Helga Rós Arnarsdóttir), Mis 101 Reykjavík (Daniela Dís Jörundsdóttir), and Miss Diamond Beach (Tinna Lind Helgadóttir).
