Houdayifa Chibaco was proclaimed Miss Mayotte 2023 in a glittering competition held on Wednesday, August 30 at Ibis Styles Mayotte Aéroport in Pamandzi. The 21-year-old beauty from Mtsangamouji bested nine other contestants to win the title. She was crowned by the reigning Miss France from Guadeloupe, Indira Ampiot. Neidja Maliki, 24, from Tsingoni, was named first runner-up while Maïla Boina, 25, from Tsimkoura, finished as the second runner-up. This year's theme of the regional pageant translates as "Renaissance: Mahoraise fashion through time." The new Miss Mayotte succeeds the 2021 winner Anna Ousseni and will now represent the overseas French department and region in the Indian Ocean at Miss France 2024 on December 16 in Dijon. Former Miss Universe Andrea Meza has just arrived in Barranquilla, Colombia as a special guest judge for the upcoming Miss Universe Colombia 2023 pageant. The Mexican model and beauty queen turned Telemundo host was crowned Miss Universe 2020 in May 2021 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. A software engineering graduate and native of Chihuahua, Andrea holds the record for the shortest completed reign in Miss Universe history to date. Fresh from her Malaysian trip, the reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska returns to India for a week-long tour ahead of the 71st Miss World pageant to be held in the country later this year. The official tour of the land of diversity kicked off on Monday with a visit to Jammu and Kashmir, followed by New Delhi, Pune, and today in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Joining her were the Miss World Organization Chairman and CEO Julia Morley, PME Entertainment founder Salman Ahmed, and sister queens Sini Shetty, Jessica Gagen, Emmy Peña, Shree Saini, and Pricilia Carla Yules.
