From Bangkok, Thailand, the reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua continues her Asia Tour in the Philippines. Wearing a fuchsia one-shoulder dress, the beauty queen arrived on Wednesday, May 1 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 via Philippine Airlines. This is Sheynnis' first official visit to the Philippines since she was crowned the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) last November in El Salvador. She will remain in the country until Tuesday, May 7 to participate in various activities with the Miss Universe Philippines organization. Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios will be in the Philippines during the first week of May according to the Miss Universe Organization. "We are thrilled to announce our visit to the Philippines. A land of breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and friendly faces. Where every corner tells a story of resilience and beauty," MUO posted on social media. The Nicaraguan beauty is expected to touch down in Manila on May 1 and will stay until May 7 to attend various activities for the ongoing Miss Universe Philippines 2024. Sheynnis has been busy touring around Southeast Asia for her Asia Tour since last month but mainly stayed in Thailand where the Miss Universe Organization is partly based. Luciana Vasquez from Peru was crowned Teen Universe 2024 on Sunday, April 28 in a glittering competition held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The 18-year-old fashion model and student from Iquitos, a city in the region of Loreto, succeeds last year's winner from Mexico,  Mariana García . Valentina Colmenares of Venezuela was the first runner-up while Maria Eugênia Raposo of Brazil, Ana Paredes of Spain, and Ziari Ruiz of Nicaragua were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Aside from the new Teen Universe, Lana Collantes of the Philippines was also crowned Teen Universe Petite 2024 while the representative of Latina USA, Natalie Grace, clinched the title Pre-Teen Universe 2024. The Miss Philippines Earth 2024 Long Gown Competition was held on Saturday, April 27 at Toledo Sports Center in Toledo City, Cebu. Ansha Lichelle Jones of Zamboanga City was awarded the gold medal while the contestants from Batangas City, Ira Patricia Malaluan, and Makati City, Sam Samara, received the silver and bronze medals, respectively. This year's much-awaited Miss Philippines Earth coronation night, the 24th edition, will be held on May 11 in Talakag, Bukidnon. Last year's winner and Miss Earth 2023 Top 4 finalist Yllana Marie Aduana will crown her successor at the culmination of the upcoming event. Miss Newark, Alysa Bainbridge, was crowned Miss Delaware USA 2024 during the state final on Sunday, April 28 at Laird Performing Arts Center in Wilmington. The 25-year-old public speaker, host, and mental health advocate will now prepare to represent Delaware at Miss USA 2024 in Hollywood, California this summer. She succeeds last year's winner Noa Mills. No stranger to pageantry, Alysa was the winner of Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen 2016. In 2022, she became Miss Pennsylvania and went to Miss America 2023 in Connecticut last December. The new Miss Delaware USA was born and raised in Berks County, Pennsylvania. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Saint Joseph's University and a master's in leadership from Cabrini University. Alysa is an adovocate for mental health and recovery. She founded the nonprofit Tyler's Triumph in memory of her brother, to help people triumph over mental health and substance use disorders. View this

Angelina Usanova from Ukraine was crowned Miss Eco International 2024 on Sunday, April 28 at the Triumph Luxury Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter bested over 40 other contestants to win the international title. She succeeds last year's winner from Vietnam, Nguyen Thanh Ha. Chantal Schmidt of the Philippines was announced first runner-up while Nikita Dani of Canada, Fabiane Alcarde Goia of Brazil, and Valerie Avril of Indonesia were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. This year's event marked the 9th edition of the Miss Eco International pageant. It was also the first time for Ukraine to win the competition. The 25-year-old social worker, occupational therapist and yoga teacher from Cologne will now prepare to represent Germany at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year. Annabelle Keller and Ilke Filiz were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Angelina Matic, Jennifer Monreal, and Tatjana Genrich rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios was teary-eyed during her first-ever encounter with an elephant while visiting Nakhon Phanom, a province in northeastern Thailand. The Miss Universe Organization shared the video of the beautiful moment when the Nicaraguan beauty witnessed the largest living land animals for the first time in her life. "Oh my God, it's the first time that I see the elephants, oh my God I wanna cry," Sheynnis said emotionally then hugged the owner of MUO, Anne Jakrajutatip. Former Mr World South Africa, Fezile Mkhize, was officially announced as Mister Supranational South Africa 2024 on Saturday, April 27 at Asteria Group Holdings in Pretoria. The 33-year-old medical doctor and television presenter succeeds last year's winner  Tylo Ribeiro and will now prepare to represent South Africa at Mister Supranational 2024 in Poland this July. Hlumelo Matsha was named first runner-up while Michael Benevolent finished as second runner-up.
