After more than two years of waiting, a new queen will finally succeed the longest-reigning Miss World from Jamaica, Toni-Ann Singh. Who will be crowned the 70th Miss World?

The Top 40 semi-finalists will be vying for the coveted title during tonight's final competition that will stream live at 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST from the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Predicting who will win the pageant is quite a challenge but taking into account Miss World's criteria for judging, we came up with our list of favorites based on the contestants' performances during the pre-pageant events.

María Vargas of Jalisco beat over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Mexico 2026 on Saturday, August 29 at Tierra Sagrada in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. The 28-year-old model and businesswoman from Guadalajara will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico this November. Mariana Macías of Michoacán finished as first runner-up while Fernanda Abaroa of Guerrero, Génesis Vera of Veracruz, and Ximena Ochoa of Ciudad de México placed second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Queen Elizabeth Makune was crowned Miss Universe Tanzania 2026 last Sunday, September 20 at Haddy Pro Hall, Mbezi Beach, Dar es Salaam. The 30-year-old public servant and health advocate from Mwanza beat over 20 other contestants to win the national pageant. The 99th Miss America pageant (Miss America 2027) was held on Sunday, September 6 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Regan Hutsell, a 25-year-old dancer from Texas, bested 51 other contestants to win the crown. She also bagged the preliminary awards for talent and fitness. Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 is Nguyen Quynh Anh from Hanoi

Nguyen Quynh Anh was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 on Friday, October 2 at The Opera in Hai Phong. She takes over the crown from the previous year's reigning queen, Nguyen Huong Giang. The 27-year-old model hailing from Hanoi will now prepare to represent Vietnam at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant, which will take place in Puerto Rico this November.
