Miss Universe Cambodia 2022 is Manita Hang


Manita Hang bested 19 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Cambodia 2022 in a glittering competition held in Phnom Penh on Wednesday, June 15.

The 23-year-old beauty, who holds a degree in accounting and finance, was born to a French father and a Cambodian mother. She succeeds last year's winner Marady Ngin and will now prepare to represent Cambodia at Miss Universe 2022.

Sothnisay Heng was named first runner-up while Bonika Heng finished second runner-up. Sokhavatey Ratana and Geklang Hun were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

The new Miss Universe Cambodia took to social media to thank her supporters after winning her title. She said, "I could not stop repeating myself and thanking everyone who has been a part of my journey from all our candidates to the teamwork."

Cambodia has yet to win the Miss Universe crown since joining the international pageant for the first time in 2017.

Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 is Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau bested 40 other contestants to win Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 on Saturday, June 25 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Le Thao Nhi and Huynh Pham Thuy Tien were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Le Hoang Phuong and Nguyen Thi Huong Ly completed the Top 5 finalists. Reining Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu together with former queens Catriona Gray and Natalie Glebova graced the competition as international judges. Toa Baja representative Elena Rivera was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2022) during the national competition held on Thursday, June 30 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas. Amanda P茅rez Solis of R铆o Grande and Andrea Carolina Rivera of Lares were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Fashion designer and model R'Bonney Gabriel was crowned Miss Texas USA 2022 at Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel on Saturday, July 2. The 28-year-old Friendswood representative became the first-ever Filipina woman to win the state title. She also joined last year and finished as first runner-up to Victoria Hinojosa.
