The 23-year-old beauty representing Kampong Cham bested over 30 other competitors to win the national title. Miss Universe Cambodia 2023 officially kicked off with the opening ceremony held on Thursday, July 27 at Bayon TV Steung Meanchey Studio in Phnom Penh. The 22-year-old model, actress, and host edged out 17 other beauties to win the pageant. She succeeds Sarita Reth and will now prepare for the international Miss Universe 2021 (70th Miss Universe) pageant in Eilat, Israel this December. Reth Sarita edged out 19 other contestants to win the title of Miss Universe Cambodia 2020 in a glittering competition held on Thursday, November 26 in Phnom Penh. The 25-year-old actress and model who appeared on the BBC Media Action’s TV series “Love9” and international films such as “Hex” and “The Spell” is a post-graduate international relations major at the Royal University of Laws and Economics. Chun Raksa became the first runner-up while Dy Sorakheta was the second runner-up. Neth Raksa and Suon Pisey were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Last year’s winner, Somnang Alyna crowned her successor who is expected to represent the Kingdom of Cambodia at the 69th Miss Universe pageant, whose date and venue are yet to be announced.
