Universal Woman 2024 is Maria Gigante of the Philippines

Maria Gigante, representing the Philippines, was crowned Universal Woman 2024 in a glittering competition held on Friday, March 22 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The 30-year-old host, model, and entrepreneur hailing from Cebu, Philippines, edged out over 40 other contestants to win the international title. Lisandra Chirinos of Venezuela was named first runner-up while Elisa Mysyshyne of France, Brianna Mai of Cambodia, and Tavera Pena Chabelli of the Dominican Republic were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. To join, simply download the application forms from the official website www.bbpilipinas.com . The deadline for submission is March 22. Established in 1964, Binibining Pilipinas currently selects Filipina representatives for Miss International and The Miss Globe pageants. Reigning queens, Angelica Lopez (for Miss International 2024) and The Miss Globe 2023 second runner-up Anna Valencia Lakrini will crown their successors on a date yet to be announced. Christi McGarry to represent Taguig at Miss Universe Philippines 2024

Christi McGarry, the former first runner-up of Miss Intercontinental 2015, has been officially appointed as Miss Universe Philippines - Taguig 2024. The 33-year-old Filipino-American model and TV personality will proudly represent Taguig in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 competition. Christi was a fellow contestant of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach in Binibining Pilipinas 2015. She was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015 and had the honor of representing the Philippines in the Miss Intercontinental 2015 pageant held in Germany. Making history, she became the first Filipina to represent her country twice in the same international pageant. The 25-year-old Filipina-Nigerian model will now prepare to represent the "City of Stars" in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant. Kris Tiffany Janson, representing Cebu City North, was crowned Miss Universe Philippines - Cebu 2024 on Saturday, February 3 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino. The 34-year-old model edged out 19 other contestants to win the regional competition. She will now prepare to represent Cebu at Miss Universe Philippines 2024. The 30-year-old host, model, and entrepreneur from Cebu will be the first-ever Filipina representative in the international competition. No stranger to pageantry, Maria was a contestant at Binibining Pilipinas 2016. She also participated in Miss World Philippines 2022 where she placed in the Top 11 and bagged the Non-Fungible Beauty Award and Best in Creative Editorial and Fashion Photo. Cyrille Payumo was crowned Miss Universe Philippines - Pampanga 2024 on Friday, January 19 at the Royce Hotel and Casino in Mabalacat, Pampanga. The 26-year-old fashion model from Porac bested 14 other competitors to win the beauty title. She also bagged the Best in Long Gown, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Luxe Slim awards. Andra Ting of the Municipality of San Fernando clinched the title The Miss Philippines Pampanga 2024 and will go to the next edition of The Miss Philippines pageant.
