Miss International Queen 2022 is Fuschia Anne Ravena of the Philippines

Fuschia Anne Ravena of the Philippines bested 22 other contestants to win Miss International Queen 2022 in Pattaya, Thailand on Saturday, June 25. The 27-year-old business owner who hails from Bogo City, in the province of Cebu, succeeded Valentina Fluchaire of Mexico. Colombia's Jasmine Jimenez and France's Aëla Chanel were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The representatives of Thailand, Kwanlada Rungrojampam, Venezuela, Sofia Salomón, and Vietnam, Phung Truong Tran Dai were the rest of the Top 6 finalists. Completing the Top 11 were Cambodia, India, Korea, Mexico, and Peru. The new Miss International Queen is the third Filipina to win the beauty title next to Kevin Balot (2012) and Trixie Maristela (2015). Miss Philippines, Shane Tormes, was crowned Miss Global 2022 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center in Bali, Indonesia on Saturday, June 11. The 30-year-old host, singer, and advocate became the first Filipina to win the international title. She succeeds Karolína Kokešová of the Czech Republic. While Jessica Da Silva of the United Arab Emirates was named Miss Global 2021, the representatives of Malaysia, Sandra Lim, Australia, Brooke Rankin, Lithuania, Sandra Boris, and Brazil, Natalia Gurgel, were the runners-up. Gwendolyne Fourniol, representative of Negros Occidental, bested 35 other contestants to win the Miss World Philippines 2022 title at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Sunday, June 5. The 21-year-old Filipino-French beauty pursued a degree in economics from the Oxford Brookes University in London. She is an advocate for education and has been working with a non-profit organization that sends underprivileged kids to school. "As an advocate of education, I do agree that during the pandemic we have suffered the most, but the children who have a lack of access to education have suffered the greatest. Daughter of former Miss International Melanie Marquez, Michelle Dee bagged 6 special awards in the recently held Miss Universe Philippines 2022 preliminary competition at The Cove Manila. The 27-year-old beauty representing Makati City took home the Miss Kumuniverse, Miss Cream Silk, Face of Essentials by Belo, Miss Jojo Bragais, Miss SavePoint, and Miss The Medical City special awards from the major sponsors. Michelle is an independent candidate (no pageant camp affiliation) and is currently one of the front-runners in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2022 final. A new crown was unveiled by Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH) at its gala night held at Hilton Manila in Pasay City on Tuesday, April 19. The pageant organization partnered with international luxury brand Jewelmer to envision the La Mer En Majesté crown as an homage to the sea. It features the South Sea Pearl, the national gem of the Philippines. A new queen will wear the illustrious masterpiece during the final competition of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 this April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Last year's winner Beatrice Luigi Gomez will crown her successor among 32 contestants. The next queen will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant later this year. After 3 years, Catriona Gray's wax figure was finally unveiled at Madame Tussauds wax museum at the Imbiah Lookout of Sentosa Island in Singapore on Wednesday, March 30. During the launching of the first and so far the only Filipino wax figure to be featured in the Singapore museum, the former Miss Universe looked stunning in a metal assemblage dress by Jaggy Glarino. "I'm so honored and flattered to be the only Filipino wax figure here in MT Singapore," Catriona shared on social media. Filipino fashion designer Mak Tumang created a replica of the iconic Miss Universe lava gown for the figure with only small differences on the neckline to hide the seams where the head of the wax figure fit onto the body. The 24-year-old Australian-Filipino model who hails from Aklan bested 40 other beauties to win the Egypt-based international pageant. She succeeds South Africa's Gizzelle Uys. Belgium's Chloë Reweghs was named first runner-up while the United States' Jesaura “Jessy" Peralta placed second runner-up.
