Miss Ghana 2022 is Miriam Xorlasi Tordzeagbo


Miriam Xorlasi Tordzeagbo was crowned Miss Ghana 2022 (Miss World Ghana) on Sunday, August 14 at The Avenue Event Centre by Unique Floral (East Airport) in Accra.

Rocklyn Krampah and Irene Vanessa Vifah were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

The new Miss Ghana, a 22-year-old school teacher from Adidome, also bagged the Beauty With A Purpose, Miss Fitness, Top Model, and Best Talent awards.

Miriam succeeds Miss Ghana 2020 Monique Mawulawe Agbedekpui and will represent her country at the 71st Miss World edition.

"Few weeks ago I was just a young girl from Adidome with big dreams. Today, I woke up as [Miss Ghana] 2022," she wrote in a statement on social media after winning her title.

"I can’t just explain enough how grateful I am to carry this title of service for the next year," she added.

Ghana, a country in West Africa, has yet to win the Miss World pageant since its debut in 1959. Its highest placement was second runner-up in 2013 with Carranzar Naa Okailey Shooter.

Miss Universe Venezuela 2025 is Clara Vegas of Miranda

Clara Vegas triumphed over 21 other contestants to win the title of Miss Universe Venezuela 2025 on Thursday, December 4 in Caracas. The 23-year-old model and actress from Miranda will represent Venezuela at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in Puerto Rico. Maria Evangelista Alayon of Amazonas was named first runner-up while Milena Paola Soto of Mérida, Gabriela de la Cruz of Yaracuy, and Gabriela Villegas of Monagas were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Universe Japan 2025 is Kaori Hashimoto from Tochigi Prefecture

Kaori Hashimoto was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2025 in a national competition held on Wednesday, July 16 in Shibuya. The 21-year-old business administration student from Tochigi Prefecture beat over 40 other contestants to win the national title. Saki Fujita and Reina Ishii were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Chiemi Takayama and Naomi Monique Kamidate were the rest of the Top 5 finalists. Anouk Eman bested five other competitors to win Miss Universe Aruba 2024 on Saturday, August 10 at the Aruba Marriott Grand Ballroom. The 32-year-old fashion model and scoliosis awareness advocate will represent Aruba at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. She succeeds last year's winner Karol Croes. Veena Praveenar Singh bested 76 other contestants to win Miss Universe Thailand 2025 in a spectacular show on Saturday, August 23 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 29-year-old beauty representing the province of Saraburi will now prepare to compete in the upcoming Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November.
