Miss Bicolandia 2022 is Rheema Adakkoden


Filipino-Indian Rheema Adakkoden bested 19 other beauties to be crowned Miss Bicolandia 2022 on Wednesday, September 7 at the Jesse M. Robredo Coliseum in Naga City, Camarines Sur.

The 21-year-old beauty pursuing a degree in business administration and management won her title in her second attempt. She succeeds Paulina Labayo, the winner from 2019 when she placed second runner-up.

Completing this year's Top 5 finalists were first runner-up Mary Joy Darilay, second runner-up Jeanette Reyes, third runner-up Iris Oresca and fourth runner-up Margarette Briton.

The glittering event was hosted by reigning international queens - The Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne and Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obeñita.

Miss Bicolandia is the oldest running and most prestigious beauty pageant in the Bicol Region, Philippines. It is held during the Peñafrancia Festival in the month of September in Naga City and is run by the city government. The pageant took a 2-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Former Miss Universe Philippines Venus Raj, Miss Supranational Philippines Yvette Santiago, and the late Miss International Philippines Melody Gersbach are just some of the beauties who took part in the Miss Bicolandia pageant and successfully made a mark on the national and international stage.
