Miss Iran 2022 Mahrou Ahmadi to compete in Miss Earth 2022


Miss Iran 2022 Mahrou Ahmadi has been officially announced to represent her country at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant in the Philippines this November.

The 24-year-old beauty will be the second Iranian representative at Miss Earth and the first one to participate in a live competition. Last year's Miss Iran, Hima Zaker, the first-ever Miss Earth Iran, joined the virtual edition during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Amid the chaos in her country resulting from the tragic death of a young woman named Mahsa Amini, the new Miss Earth Iran promised to be the voice of her fellow people especially the girls, on the international stage, and she said: I stand with the women of Iran. This is for us."

"I want to thank my family, all of you, and [Miss Iran] for giving me this title. I am now an ambassador of Iran. I will always represent you and I’ll be your voice upon the world, in every journey and endeavor," she wrote in a statement on social media.


Mahrou was born in Tehran and is a herbal medicine and medicine graduate. She is currently pursuing pharmacy at the University of Istanbul. Besides being a doctor, she is also a model, stylist, and fashion influencer with huge social media followers.

"I believe that if there is a goal or a desire that we want to have in our life, by working hard for it, we will achieve it. Since childhood, I have always dreamed of being able to win the title of Miss Iran, so then I can convey my voice to all the girls in my country and tell them that we can be the most successful and powerful women in the world by helping each other to get the freedom we want in Iran," she said in her introduction for the Miss Iran pageant.

Miss Earth 2022 will be held from October 24 until November 27 in the Philippines. This year's edition is themed “ME Loves Fauna" to emphasize the importance of caring for animal life in addition to its core mission which is environmental protection and preservation.

Alejandra Rodríguez, 60, crowned Miss Universe Buenos Aires 2024

Alejandra Rodríguez was crowned Miss Universe Buenos Aires 2024 in a competition held on Sunday, April 21 at Corregidor Hotel in La Plata. The 60-year-old lawyer and journalist bested more than 30 other contestants to win the title. She will now prepare to represent Buenos Aires at Miss Universe Argentina 2024. To recall, the Miss Universe Organization removed the age limit requirement last year so now anyone from the age of 18 can join the pageant and this applies to all its national franchises. Miss Greater Bridgeport, Shavana Clarke was crowned Miss Connecticut USA 2024 on Sunday, April 14 at Marriott Hartford Windsor Airport in Windsor, Connecticut. The 29-year-old model and mental health advocate will now prepare to represent the state of Connecticut at Miss USA 2024 in California this August. Miss Michigan USA 2024 is Alma Cooper

Miss Okemos, Alma Cooper was crowned Miss Michigan USA 2024 on Sunday, April 21 at McMorran Entertainment Center in Port Huron, Michigan. The 22-year-old scholar, advocate and US Army officer will now prepare to represent Michigan at Miss USA 2024 in Hollywood, California this August. Alma holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the United States Military Academy at West Point. The second lieutenant officer is also a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, currently pursuing her master's degree in data science at Stanford University in California. Miss Universe Greece 2024 is Christianna Katsieri

Christianna Katsieri has been officially announced as Miss Universe Greece 2024 by the Star & Mr GS Hellas organization. The 22-year-old model has previously held the title Miss GS Hellas 2022 and became Miss Earth Greece 2023. She went on to represent Greece at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam last December. Her predecessor Marielia Zaloumi was last year's Star GS Hellas and Miss Universe Greece, who went to Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador last November. R'Bonney Gabriel to host Miss Universe Philippines 2024 final show

The Miss Universe Philippines organization has officially announced former Miss Universe of the USA, R'Bonney Gabriel as host of the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night. To recall, R'Bonney was crowned Miss Universe 2022 during the the 71st Miss Universe pageant held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans in January 2023. The Filipino-American fashion designer became the second Asian-American woman to win the Miss Universe title since Brook Lee (Miss Universe 1997) and so far, the oldest winner at 28 years old, succeeding Andrea Meza of Mexico. This year's competition will have 28 of the island's most beautiful women selected to compete for the coveted national title.
