Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2022 is Tya Jané Ramey


Miss Arouca, Tya Jané Ramey, bested 23 other contestants to win Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2022 on Sunday, September 11 at Queen’s Hall in Port of Spain.

The 24-year-old athlete, dancer, alto saxophonist, and social work and social policies graduate is a former Miss World Trinidad and Tobago winner who placed in the Top 40 at Miss World 2019 and was awarded the Miss World Caribbean title.

Amanda Ameerali and Tishanna Mitchell were the first and second runners-up, respectively while Sihle Letren, Maya Underwood, and Candiesha Joseph rounded out the Top 6 finalists.

Last night's national competition established the return of the twin island country to the Miss Universe pageant after five years.

The new Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago, who also bagged the Miss Photogenic award, was crowned by former Miss Universe and one of the judges Wendy Fitzwilliam. She will now prepare to represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in the first quarter of 2023.

USA wins back-to-back Miss International Queen titles

Lo Colby of the USA was crowned Miss International Queen 2026 on Saturday, September 19 at the Tiffany's Show Pattaya in Pattaya, Thailand. The Hawaiian-born Thai-American transgender beauty based in Los Angeles bested 26 rival contestants to win the coveted title. She also bagged the Best in Talent award. Lo succeeds last year's winner and fellow American Midori Monét, securing an unprecedented back-to-back victory in Miss International Queen history. Daiana Stefani Pereyra is the new Miss Universe Argentina

Daiana Stefani Pereyra has officially been named the new Miss Universe Argentina 2026 after the crowned titleholder Tamara Rogouski stepped down for personal reasons. The 28-year-old cabin crew competed for La Pampa and earned the first runner-up position at the national pageant in May. She will now gear up to represent Argentina at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant scheduled for Puerto Rico this November. Joheirry Mola Dominguez from the Dominican Republic bested 110 other contestants to win Miss World 2026 on Saturday, September 5 in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The 24-year-old model, teacher, news correspondent and advocate received the coveted crown and sash from her predecessor Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand. She became the second woman from the Dominican Republic to become Miss World next to Mariasela Álvarez who won in 1982. Veera Grönlund, a 30-year-old from Helsinki, was crowned Miss Suomi 2026 (Miss Finland 2026) on Saturday, September 5, at Hybridiarena Hype in Espoo. The passionate animal advocate and aspiring veterinarian will represent Finland at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this coming November. The 21-year-old model hailing from Marseille triumphed over more than 30 other contestants, achieving a remarkable back-to-back victory for his nation.
