A total of 11 beauties have been officially announced as contenders for Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2024. One of them will be crowned Miss Supranational Trinidad and Tobago 2024 tonight in Couva while the rest of the contestants will continue to fight for Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2024. Candiesha Joseph's successor will go to Poland for the Miss Supranational 2024 competition this July. The next Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago, Faith Gillezeau's successor, will travel to Mexico for Miss Universe 2024 later this year. Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2023 is Faith Gillezeau

Faith Gillezeau, representing San Fernando West was crowned Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2023 in a glittering event held on Sunday, July 2 at Queen's Hall in Port of Spain. The 25-year-old pharmacist and athlete will now prepare to represent her country at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador this December. She succeeds last year's winner who placed in the Top 16 at Miss Universe 2022 in New Orleans last January, Tya Jané Ramey. Miss San Fernando, Jen-ai Mohammed, and Miss Sangre Grande, Dalise Lockhart, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The representative of Diego Martin, Latifah Morris, 29, was awarded the title Top Model of the World Trinidad and Tobago 2024 and will compete in the next Top Model of the World competition in Egypt. A total of 11 contestants have been selected to take part in the Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2023 (Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2023) pageant. This year's competition, themed "Metamorphosis" held its preliminary event last Tuesday, May 30 at the Naparmia Bowl in San Fernando.  The winner of the much-awaited grand final night this July will represent Trinidad and Tobago at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador later this year while another finalist will be designated for the Top Model of the World. Reigning queen and Miss Universe 2022 Top 16 semifinalist, Tya Jané Ramey, will crown her successor at the culmination of the event. Who will be the next Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago? Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2022 is Tya Jané Ramey

Miss Arouca, Tya Jané Ramey, bested 23 other contestants to win Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2022 on Sunday, September 11 at Queen’s Hall in Port of Spain. The 24-year-old athlete, dancer, alto saxophonist, and social work and social policies graduate is a former Miss World Trinidad and Tobago winner who placed in the Top 40 at Miss World 2019 and was awarded the Miss World Caribbean title. Amanda Ameerali and Tishanna Mitchell were the first and second runners-up, respectively while Sihle Letren, Maya Underwood, and Candiesha Joseph rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Last night's national competition established the return of the twin island country to the Miss Universe pageant after five years. The new Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago, who also bagged the Miss Photogenic award, was crowned by former Miss Universe and one of the judges Wendy Fitzwilliam. She will now prepare to represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in the first quarter of 2023. View

Trinidad and Tobago last joined Miss Universe in 2017 and after five years, the country is all set to return to the prestigious pageant. Last June, Trinidad and Tobago's leading pageant academy Crowns & Sashes has been announced as the country's new franchisee for Miss Universe. A total of 24 beautifully confident women have been chosen to participate in the upcoming national competition and the lucky winner will represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant.
