Karolína Michalčíková to represent Slovak Republic at Miss Earth 2022


Karolína Michalčíková has been revealed as the Slovak Republic's official representative to the Miss Earth 2022 pageant in the Philippines this November.

The 23-year-old professional makeup artist from Trenčín was named Miss Universe Slovakia in a national competition held last month and is also expected to compete in the 71st Miss Universe pageant this January.

This year also marks the return of Slovakia to the Miss Earth competition after two years of absence. The country first joined in 2005 and its highest placement so far was a Top 8 finish in 2014 with Dária Fabrici.

It isn't the first time a Miss Universe Slovakia crossed over to Miss Earth. Back in 2006, Judita Hrubyová participated in Miss Universe and went on to place in the Top 16 at Miss Earth. The only exception this time is Karolina will go to Miss Earth prior to Miss Universe, and if she wins the Philippines-based pageant that would be another story.

Miss Earth 2022 will take place on Tuesday, November 29 at Okada Manila in Parañaque. Around 90 countries are expected to vie for the title currently held by Destiny Wagner of Belize.

Alejandra Rodríguez, 60, crowned Miss Universe Buenos Aires 2024

Alejandra Rodríguez was crowned Miss Universe Buenos Aires 2024 in a competition held on Sunday, April 21 at Corregidor Hotel in La Plata. The 60-year-old lawyer and journalist bested more than 30 other contestants to win the title. She will now prepare to represent Buenos Aires at Miss Universe Argentina 2024. To recall, the Miss Universe Organization removed the age limit requirement last year so now anyone from the age of 18 can join the pageant and this applies to all its national franchises. Miss Czech Republic 2024 is Adéla Štroffeková

The Miss Czech Republic 2024 concluded on Saturday, May 11 with Adéla Štroffeková winning the national title from a field of 10 finalists. The 21-year-old model from Prague, who was also named Miss World Czech Republic 2024, received her crown from reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszková. Hosted by Ondrej Novotny, this year's event marked the 15th anniversary of the annual Miss Czech Republic pageant. Four other worthy finalists were also crowned as representatives of the country for various international competitions. Mister Supranational Thailand 2024 is Joe Chonlawit Wongsriwor

The Mister and Miss Supranational Thailand 2024 final competition was held on Friday, May 10 at the at Crystal Design Center (CDC) in Bangkok. Joe Chonlawit Wongsriwor, a 27-year-old professional Thai-English event host hailing from Khon Kaen, was declared Mister Supranational Thailand 2024. Thomas Tom Suppakit Oupkham and Spencer Puvarak Poemnam Munday were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Future Pattawee Waimethachoknugun, Third Boonkarit Sappradit, and Mheepooh Puttimet Naulsaard were the Top 6 and were all third runners-up. The new Mister Supranational Thailand succeeds last year's winner who made the Top 10 at Mister Supranational 2023, Topz Nathanon Narathanyawirun. New Miss USA and Miss Teen USA franchise partner announced

Fashion designer Laylah Rose has been announced as the new license holder and will serve as the president and CEO for the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants. The founder of Laylah Rose Couture and also the CEO of VIP Pageantry replaces Miss Brand and former Miss USA national director Crystle Stewart. Reno, Nevada will again host this year's Miss USA and Miss Teen USA with Emmy Award-winning executive producer Kerri Zane of Kerri Zane Enterprises and Bud Brutsman of Brentwood Communications International, Inc. handling the productions. Miss Grand Spain 2024 is Susana Medina of Las Palmas

Susana Medina was crowned Miss Grand Spain 2024 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, May 11 at Theatre Municipal Horacio Noguera, Isla Cristina, Huelva. The 25-year-old representative of Las Palmas bested 34 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Celia Sevilla and will now represent Spain at Miss Grand International 2024. Idayra Tena of Tenerife was named first runner-up while Adriana Corpas of Tarragona, Luana Gheban of Albacete, and Esther Escudero of Euskadi were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The Miss Universe Malta 2024 final gala will be held on Thursday, July 11 at the Hilton Malta Conference Centre in St. Julian's. Twenty worthy women from across Malta will be vying for the coveted national title and earn the opportunity to represent the country at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year. Miss Supranational Thailand 2024 is Tangkwa Kasama Suetrong

Tangkwa Kasama Suetrong was crowned Miss Supranational Thailand 2024 on Friday, May 10 at Crystal Design Center (CDC) in Bangkok. The 28-year-old model hailing from the province of Surat Thani succeeds last year's winner and Miss Supranational 2023 Top 24, First Patraporn Wang  Rina Carina Mueller and Anna Corvino were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Aom Natthawan Pusakul, Bee Rutchaneekorn Prasertpornsak, and Mookku Thanatchaporn Pankaew rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Miss Namibia 2024: Meet the Top 10 finalists

From the Top 20, only 10 finalists have been selected to continue their journey to the Miss Namibia 2024 crown. The Top 10 were officially revealed during the preliminary competition held on Saturday, May 11 at Droombos Windhoek. This year's much-awaited final competition date and venue have yet to be announced. The Miss Namibia organization headed by Umbi Karuaihe-Upi currently holds the national license for Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth pageants. Last year's winner Jameela Uiras went to Miss Universe 2023 last November in El Salvador where she placed in the Top 20. Due to Miss World rules, Namibia's next Miss World representative has to be a national winner.
