Karolína Michalčíková to represent Slovak Republic at Miss Earth 2022


Karolína Michalčíková has been revealed as the Slovak Republic's official representative to the Miss Earth 2022 pageant in the Philippines this November.

The 23-year-old professional makeup artist from Trenčín was named Miss Universe Slovakia in a national competition held last month and is also expected to compete in the 71st Miss Universe pageant this January.

This year also marks the return of Slovakia to the Miss Earth competition after two years of absence. The country first joined in 2005 and its highest placement so far was a Top 8 finish in 2014 with Dária Fabrici.

It isn't the first time a Miss Universe Slovakia crossed over to Miss Earth. Back in 2006, Judita Hrubyová participated in Miss Universe and went on to place in the Top 16 at Miss Earth. The only exception this time is Karolina will go to Miss Earth prior to Miss Universe, and if she wins the Philippines-based pageant that would be another story.

Miss Earth 2022 will take place on Tuesday, November 29 at Okada Manila in Parañaque. Around 90 countries are expected to vie for the title currently held by Destiny Wagner of Belize.

Miss Universe Great Britain 2025 is Danielle Latimer

Danielle Latimer beat over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Great Britain 2025 on Saturday, July 26 at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales. The 36-year-old entrepreneur, stylist and photographer will represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Nadia Mejia-Webb crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025

Nadia Mejia-Webb, representing Comunidad USA, was crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 26 at Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil. The 29-year-old model and singer will now prepare to represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Daphne Currat of Tungurahua and Christie Termidor of Región Sierra were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Kaori Hashimoto was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2025 in a national competition held on Wednesday, July 16 in Shibuya. The 21-year-old business administration student from Tochigi Prefecture beat over 40 other contestants to win the national title. Saki Fujita and Reina Ishii were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Chiemi Takayama and Naomi Monique Kamidate were the rest of the Top 5 finalists. Yamilex Hernández was proclaimed the winner of Miss Universe Latina 2025 during the culmination of Telemundo's "Miss Universe Latina, El Reality" on Monday, July 21. Olivia Yace to represent Côte d'Ivoire at Miss Universe 2025

Olivia Yace has been officially appointed by the Miss Côte d'Ivoire Committee (COMICI) as Miss Universe Côte d'Ivoire 2025. An official announcement was made by the national pageant organization on Wednesday, July 23 thru social media. They wrote, "Join us in celebrating Olivia as she embarks along with COMICI in this exciting journey, representing our country on the global stage." Olivia is a 27-year-old model and tourism ambassador of her country. She will now prepare to represent Côte d'Ivoire at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Andrea Valero was crowned Miss Universe Spain 2025 in a national competition held on Wednesday, July 30 at Plaza de San Agustín in Los Realejos, Tenerife. The 28-year-old entrepreneur from Galicia will represent Spain at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. She succeeds last year's winner Michelle Jiménez. Former Miss Queen of Portugal Camila Vitorino was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2025 last Saturday, June 14 in the beautiful and historic city of Elvas. The 26-year-old from São Sebastião, Setúbal made history as the first married woman and mother to become Miss Universe Portugal. Laura Malaquias, Diliana Fernandes, and Ivone Carneiro were announced as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Last year's winner Andreia Correia passed on her crown to her successor at the end of the event.
