Miss Botswana 2022: Meet the Top 10 finalists

After weeks of intensive tasks and training, the Top 10 finalists selected for Miss Botswana 2022 have been officially announced on September 22.

The national final will be held for the first time in an outdoor space on Saturday, October 22 at the Fairscape Precinct in Gaborone.

Last year's winner Palesa Molefe will crown her successor at the end of the event and the next Miss Botswana is expected to represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant.

Meet the Top 10 official finalists:


Alipo Makosha - 26, she believes that part of her purpose is to bring the presence and light of God wherever she is through her singing voice.

Cheshe Tsayang - an optimist who believes that light can be found even in the darkest of situations.

Cynthia Kalayakgosi - 25, a colored pencil artist since age 14, and a makeup artist.

Goitsemodimo Jogwe - 25, a tourism and hospitality student, model and police officer.

Gontlafetse Oagile - sports enthusiast especially football, volleyball and softball

Lesego Chombo - an all-rounder who believes in personal advancement, especially in her career.

Lesego Sejai - 21, she is always looking for an opportunity to do better and achieve greatness.

Lorato Kgangyapelo - 22, a professional choreographer, performer, and dance instructor.

Sebaga Manyapetsa - a model, philanthropist, writer, poet, politics enthusiast, and content creator.

Tshepo Nthaga - 24, a civil engineering graduate, model, and seasoned entrepreneur.

72nd Miss World heats up with contestants' arrival in Telangana, India

Miss World 2025, the 72nd Miss World competition has officially begun in Telengana, India with the arrival of over 100 contestants vying for the highly coveted title. The beauties were checked into their official residence hotel, the Trident Hotel Hyderabad, and have been rehearsing for the opening ceremony this coming Saturday, May 10 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. According to the Miss World organization, the upcoming ceremony "promises to be a vibrant display of traditional Telangana folk and tribal dance performances, beautifully choreographed in a parade-style theme that will highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region." Anne Baldridge was crowned Miss Maine USA 2024 in a glittering state competition held on March 10 at Boston Marriott Burlington in Burlington, Maine. The 25-year-old TV news reporter representing Casco Bay bested 11 other contestants to win the state title. She succeeds last year's winner Juliana Morehouse Locklear. Shelby Ann Howell of the United States of America was crowned Miss CosmoWorld 2023 in a glittering competition held on Wednesday, November 29 at The St. Regis Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The 23-year-old model and real estate agent bested more than 20 other competitors to win the international pageant. She succeeded last year's winner from the Philippines, Meiji Aculana Cruz . Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. The Miss Czech Republic 2025 national final took place on Saturday, May 3 at the Forum Karlín in Prague. Ten finalists competed the crowns at stake. Linda Górecká clinched the title of Miss World Czech Republic 2025 and is expected to represent her country at the 73rd Miss World.
