Miss Grand International 2022: Sashing Ceremony, Top 10 Pre-Arrival special dinner


The Miss Grand International 2022 pageant kicked off on Wednesday, October 5 with the contestants' official sashing ceremony at The Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa in Bali, Indonesia.

Hosted by a former winner from 2014, Lees Garcia of Cuba, the show streamed live on the official Facebook page of Miss Grand International.

MGI Vice President Teresa Chaivisut opened the ceremony and revealed that the final Top 10 will have their own crowns and stay for one more week in Indonesia after the coronation on October 25 in Jakarta.

Before the official sashing commenced, reigning Miss Grand International Nguyen Thuy Thuc Tien gave a short speech and shared with the contestants some helpful advice as they are competing for the golden crown.

With the beautiful Bali beach as the backdrop to the ceremony, a total of 66 contestants from around the world received their official sashes from the Vietnamese queen.

Standouts were Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Crimea, Curacao, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kosovo, Laos, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Ukraine, United States of America, Venezuela, and Vietnam.

Following the event, a special dinner with MGI President Nawat Itsaragrisil was held for the highest voted pre-arrival Top 10 contestants from Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Paraguay, Thailand, and Vietnam. This was also streamed live on Facebook.

The next grand event will be the welcoming ceremony and gala dinner for all the contestants with the MGI Organization on Friday, October 7.

Mister Global 2025 is Alejandro Ortega from Spain

Miguel Alejandro Ortega Alaniz, representing Spain, was proclaimed the winner of Mister Global 2025 on Sunday, October 5 at MCC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 26-year-old personal trainer and sports enthusiast from Valencia bested 35 other contestants to win the male beauty title. He succeeds Daumier Corilla from the Philippines. William Badell of Venezuela and Alejandro Silva of Mexico were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The 22-year-old model and medical student from Moscow edged out 49 other contestants to win the national competition.
