Palembang's Ritassya Wellgreat Waynands bested 19 other competitors to be crowned Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia 2023 (Miss Grand Indonesia 2023) on Thursday, June 8 at Ciputra Artpreneur in Jakarta. The 22-year-old model and summa cum laude alumna of Sriwijaya University will represent Indonesia at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October. Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were Valerie Avril, Chesy Anribka, Vanessa Hatter, and Sahida Sheik. As runners-up, they are expected to be designated for Miss Face of Humanity 2023, Miss Eco International 2024, Reina Hispanoamericana 2023, and World Top Model 2023. Miss Universe Indonesia unveils 'Shimmering Hope' crown

The Miss Universe Indonesia organization under Capella Swastika Karya and national director Poppy Capella officially unveiled the "Shimmering Hope" crown on Monday, May 29 in Jakarta. Crafted by Indonesian gold jewelry maker UBS Gold, the new masterpiece will be used for the coronation of whoever wins Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 on a date and venue yet to be announced. From the word shimmer, meaning to shine with a flickering or wavering light, and hope, a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen, the crown according to the organization represents leadership characterized by radiance, brilliance, and hope. Those who wear it are called to embody those qualities and use their power to inspire hope and optimism in others and are committed to social justice, human rights, and the welfare of everyone in society. Who will be crowned Puteri Indonesia 2023?

The much-awaited 26th Puteri Indonesia edition will be held this Friday, May 19 at the Plenary Hall of the Jakarta Convention Center. A total of 45 contestants from 34 Indonesian provinces are vying for the crowns at stake and the opportunity to represent Indonesia at Miss International 2023, Miss Supranational 2023, and  Miss Charm 2024. Reigning Miss Supranational Lalela Mswane of South Africa arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia 2023 on Wednesday, May 17 to grace the Puteri Indonesia 2023 pageant. The South African beauty reunited upon her arrival at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 3 with her supra sister Adinda Cresheilla, reigning Miss Supranational Indonesia and Miss Supranational 2022 third runner-up. Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia 2023: Meet the Top 20 finalists

Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia 2023, a national pageant organized by Yayasan Dunia Mega Bintang and its founder Ivan Gunawan already kicked off last month. Following an audition round held at Le Meridien Jakarta in early March, the selected Top 20 finalists vying for the national titles at stake have been officially revealed. The finalists' orientation will be in May while the grand coronation will take place in June at a venue yet to be announced. Ivan Gunawan's YouTube channel will broadcast the final show. This year's competition will crown the main winner as Indonesia's representative to Miss Grand International 2023. At the end of the event, Miss Grand International 2022 second runner-up Andina Julie will pass the crown to her successor as Miss Grand Indonesia. Indonesia to debut at Reina Hispanoamericana pageant

Indonesia is set to debut at Reina Hispanoamericana 2023 as Ivan Gunawan, founder of Yayasan Dunia Mega Bintang, has been officially announced as a license holder. The first-ever Reina Hispanoamericana Indonesia will be chosen among the Top 5 finalists of the upcoming Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia 2023 pageant. Originally called Reina Sudamericana until 2007, Reina Hispanoamericana is a Bolivia-based international beauty pageant organized by Promociones Gloria since 1991. It aims to celebrate the Hispanic heritage, language, and culture. The annual competition started welcoming representatives from beyond South America in 2004. Indonesia will now be the second Asian country to take part. In 2017, the Philippines joined for the first time and managed to bag the crown with Teresita Marquez. Fans have divided opinions on Indonesia joining the pageant. Reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel and her queen sisters Andreína Martínez Founier and Gabriëla Dos Santos kicked off their first day in Bali, Indonesia looking elegant in traditional clothing. The three beauties basked in the culture of the island, donning elaborate Balinese costumes as they met with the King of Ubud, Tjokorda Gde Putra Sukawati. Their meeting took place on Monday, February 20 at the Ubud Royal Palace (officially Puri Saren Agung), an important historical landmark for the Balinese. Fresh from her memorable trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the 71st Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel of the USA arrived on Sunday, February 19 at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, Indonesia. She will be attending the upcoming grand launching of Miss Universe Indonesia under PT Capella Swastika Karya this week together with her second runner-up Andreína Martínez Founier of the Dominican Republic and Top 5 finalist Gabriëla Dos Santos of Curacao. They will be staying at the beautiful TS Suites Seminyak, an urban lifestyle hotel in Bali, for the duration of their visit to the country.
