Miss Supranational 2024 Harashta Haifa Zahra returns home

Miss Supranational 2024 Harashta Haifa Zahra returned to her home country on Wednesday, July 17 for her homecoming after winning Indonesia's first Miss Supranational crown. The beauty queen was warmly welcomed by fans and supporters upon her arrival at the Bandara Soekarno Hatta International Airport. "I am so happy to be home at last. It's a moment I won’t forget and I know that this is a special time I want to share with my country," Harashta shared. The 20-year-old environmental engineering student from West Java was crowned the 15th Miss Supranational on July 6 in Nowy Sącz, Poland. She beat 67 other contestants to win the title. A press conference gala dinner was held on Thursday, July 18 at Hutan Kota Plataran, Senayan to celebrate her historic victory. Harashta Haifa Zahra of Indonesia was crowned Miss Supranational 2024 on Saturday, July 6 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The 20-year-old environmental engineering student hailing from West Java bested 67 other contestants to win the international title. She made history as the first-ever Indonesian woman to become Miss Supranational. Jenna Dykstra of the United States was announced first runner-up, while Justýna Zedníková of the Czech Republic, Isadora Murta of Brazil, and Chanelle de Lau of Curacao were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Before her historic victory on the supra stage, the new Miss Supranational was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2024 in Jakarta last March and then appointed Miss Supranational Indonesia in May. Monica Kezia Sembiring was crowned Miss Indonesia 2024 (Miss World Indonesia 2024) in a glittering competition held on Wednesday, May 29 at Studio RCTI+ in Jakarta. The 22-year-old from the North Sumatra province bested 37 other contestants to win the national title. She is expected to represent her country at the 72nd Miss World festival. Carita Adity of D.I Yogyakarta placed first runner-up while Anna Dananjaya of Bali, Priyanka Ariffia of DKI Jakarta, and Arindina Taim of Aceh were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Martha Lena of Riau and Virginia Martina of the Highland Papua province were respectively awarded Miss Favorite and Miss Friendship. Nova Liana was crowned Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia 2024 (Miss Grand Indonesia 2024) on Sunday, May 19 at Istora Senayan in Jakarta. The 23-year-old beauty from Palembang, South Sumatra bested more than 40 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent Indonesia at Miss Grand International 2024 in Myanmar this October. Stevanie Tawana Sheldrick of Riau Islands placed second and was awarded the title of Miss Elite Indonesia 2024. She is expected to compete in Miss Elite 2024 in Egypt. The 20-year-old environmental engineering student was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2024 while representing Jawa Barat (West Java) in Jakarta last March. She will represent Indonesia at Miss Supranational 2024 to be held in Nowy Sącz, Poland this July. Her runners-up Sophie Kirana, Ketut Permata Juliastrid Sari, and Melati Tedja were awarded the titles Miss International Indonesia, Miss Cosmo Indonesia, and Miss Charm Indonesia 2024, respectively. Harashta Haifa Zahra, representing Jawa Barat, was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2024 last Friday, March 8 at the  Plenary Hall of the Jakarta Convention Center. The 20-year-old environmental engineering student bested more than 40 other contestants to win the title. She succeeds last year's winner  Farhana Nariswari. Rounding out the Top 4 finalists, Sophie Kirana Indriyagi, Ketut Permata Juliastrid Sari, and Melati Tedja were respectively crowned Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2024, Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2024, Puteri Indonesia Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan 2024. The winners are now expected to represent Indonesia at Miss International 2024 in Japan, Miss Supranational 2024 in Poland, Miss Charm 2024 in Vietnam, and Miss Cosmo 2024, also in Vietnam. Indonesia's Cindy Inanto bagged the Miss People's Choice award and earned a spot in the Top 20 at Miss Earth 2023. Hosted by TNA Entertainment, the 23rd Miss Earth competition culminated on Friday, December 22 at Van Phuc City in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Cindy went on to place in the Top 12 and accomplished her country's highest placement in Miss Earth's 23-year history. She is 27-years-old, hailing from North Sumatra. The Miss People's Choice online voting was conducted on Eventista's portal. Paraguay placed second while the Philippines, South Sudan, and France were third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. Miss Earth Indonesia 2023 is Cindy Inanto

Cindy Inanto was crowned Miss Earth Indonesia 2023 during the Putri Nusantara 2023 final held last July 27 at Rennaisance, Nusa Dua in Bali. The 27-year-old computer engineer and data scientist succeeded last year's titleholder Karina Basrewan and will now represent Indonesia at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam this December. A total of 20 finalists have been selected to take part in the national competition which was attended by former Miss Earth Karen Ibasco with the reigning Miss Earth Mina Sue Choi and Miss Global Shane Tormes. Also crowned during the same event were Miss Global Indonesia 2023 Cynthia Kurniawan and Miss Aesthetic Indonesia 2023 Jennifer Calista. Miss Universe Organization ends contract with current franchisee in Indonesia amid sexual abuse claims

The Miss Universe Organization released an official statement today regarding its decision to part ways with PT Capella Swastika Karya and Indonesian national director Poppy Capella. This is amid allegations of sexual harassment from several contestants of the recently concluded Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 competition. Unfortunately, this also resulted in the cancellation of this year's Miss Universe Malaysia pageant whose license was granted to the same company. Miss Universe Indonesia responds to sexual harassment allegations

The Miss Universe Indonesia Organization has issued a statement in response to allegations of sexual harassment following the recently held Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 competition. "In response to media coverage about the incidents at the Miss Universe Indonesia pageant, we at Miss Universe Indonesia are closely monitoring the situation," said the national director and owner Poppy Capella. "We are actively investigating the allegations that have been reported in the mass media. We will conduct a [thorough] investigation and review the allegations made against us." According to Reuters , several contestants have filed a police report against the organizers after they allegedly underwent a physical examination in their underwear and were photographed "topless" in a room with more than 20 people. Following the successful staging of Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 in Jakarta, the Miss Universe Indonesia Organization has just announced a significant change in its competition rules. National director and owner Poppy Capella released an official statement on Monday, August 7 regarding her decision to remove the minimum height requirement as there were concerns several provincial winners did not meet the previous qualification. "This change is not merely a response to the outcomes of the early-stage provincial events, but also a reflection of our commitment to inclusivity at both the provincial and national levels," she clarified. "These events were organized in good faith, and it would be unjust to disqualify their winners based on a criterion that can be considered non-essential." The 25-year-old international relations and flight school graduate from North Sulawesi was the second runner-up during The New L-Men of the Year 2023 final held on July 29 at Balai Sarbini in Jakarta. Fabiënne Nicole Groeneveld edged out 29 other competitors to win Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 in a glittering competition held on Thursday, August 3 at the Beach City International Stadium in Jakarta. The 23-year-old model and business graduate representing DKI Jakarta was also awarded Miss Confidently Beautiful during the preliminary competition. She will now prepare to represent Indonesia at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. Vina Anggi Sitorus was named first runner-up while Muthia Fatika Rachman, Angela Yovita Lillo, and Baby Kristami were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. No stranger to pageantry, Fabiënne started her pageant journey when she previously clinched the title of Miss Global Indonesia. She went on to join Miss Globe 2018 in the Philippines where she placed in the Top 20 and bagged the Best in Evening Gown and Miss Photogenic awards.
