Miss World Bulgaria 2022 is Kristiyana Yordanova


Kristiyana Yordanova was crowned Miss World Bulgaria 2022 in a competition held last Wednesday, December 7 at the Princess Casino Sofia Ramada Hotel & Spa in Sofia.

The 24-year-old author and psychology and neuroscience student at the University of British Columbia will represent Bulgaria at the 71st Miss World pageant. Prior to winning her national title, she participated in the Miss World Canada 2022 pageant on November 13 and placed in the Top 15.

In a post on social media, she shared how honored she feels to receive the crown and be able to represent her home country. "I was deeply affected as a child when I had to move away from everything I had ever known. I missed my roots deeply, and so being able to connect with my culture yet again so seamlessly was so beautiful and genuine," she wrote.

As a mental health advocate, Kristiyana founded "Woman Squared" to use her platform for an open conversation and change the narrative about women in society. She said, "It is about having an open conversation with one another about how to lend a helping hand when it comes to mental health struggles."

"I want to hear each and every story, of those who may have faced hardships in mental health ... once we feel comfortable being vulnerable, we can truly guide one another on the right path. Experiences shape us, and each person is unique," she added.

Miss Denmark 2026 is Simone Julie Lythje from Silkeborg

The Miss Denmark 2026 pageant, celebrating its 100th anniversary, took place on Sunday, September 13, at the renowned Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen. Simone Julie Lythje, a 21-year-old teaching assistant from Silkeborg, Jutland, has been named the new Miss Denmark. She was presented with her crown by her predecessor, Josephine Bøttger, who recently participated in Miss World 2026 held in Vietnam. Another notable winner from the event was 23-year-old Anne-Marie Olsvig Lauritzen from Ilulissat, who earned the title of Miss Greenland 2026. The competition also recognized Sofie Klivager Andersen, Helena Heiselberg Kjær, Maiken Bruun, and Susanne Saad as the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Lo Colby of the USA was crowned Miss International Queen 2026 on Saturday, September 19 at the Tiffany's Show Pattaya in Pattaya, Thailand. The Hawaiian-born Thai-American transgender beauty based in Los Angeles bested 26 rival contestants to win the coveted title. She also bagged the Best in Talent award. Veera Grönlund, a 30-year-old from Helsinki, was crowned Miss Suomi 2026 (Miss Finland 2026) on Saturday, September 5, at Hybridiarena Hype in Espoo. The passionate animal advocate and aspiring veterinarian will represent Finland at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this coming November. Daiana Stefani Pereyra is the new Miss Universe Argentina

Daiana Stefani Pereyra has officially been named the new Miss Universe Argentina 2026 after the crowned titleholder Tamara Rogouski stepped down for personal reasons. The 28-year-old cabin crew competed for La Pampa and earned the first runner-up position at the national pageant in May. She will now gear up to represent Argentina at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant scheduled for Puerto Rico this November. Dylan Palmerini from France was declared the winner of the Manhunt International 2026 competition on Wednesday, September 9, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Joheirry Mola Dominguez from the Dominican Republic bested 110 other contestants to win Miss World 2026 on Saturday, September 5 in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The 24-year-old model, teacher, news correspondent and advocate received the coveted crown and sash from her predecessor Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand. She became the second woman from the Dominican Republic to become Miss World next to Mariasela Álvarez who won in 1982. Ivana Carolina Irizarry, representing Puerto Rico, was crowned Universal Woman 2025 on Saturday, August 10 in Jaipur, India.
