Cuba's Juan Carlos Ariosa wins 8th Mister Global competition


Mister Global Cuba Juan Carlos Ariosa beat 38 other competitors to win Mister Global 2022 held on Saturday, February 11 at the Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The 28-year-old actor, model, and dental surgeon originally from Matanzas, Cuba succeeded Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam for the coveted international title. He also bagged the Mister Photogenic award.

Oscar Guerrero of Colombia and William Gama of Brazil were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Kim Hee Won of Korea and Setthapan Thongsuk of Thailand rounded out the Top 5 finalists.


The rest of the Top 15 were the gentlemen from Chile, India, Mexico, Nigeria, North Cyprus, Peru, Poland, South Africa, Spain, and Vietnam.

Reigning Mister International Manu Franco of the Dominican Republic and Supermodel International Quynh Hoa Bui of Vietnam were special guests and part of the esteemed panel of judges.

Prior to the announcement of winners, Mahasarakham, Thailand was announced as the host city of the 9th Mister Global edition (Mister Global 2023) in November.

Tonight, the inaugural edition of the Miss Cosmo pageant will take place at the Saigon Riverside Park in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Miss Universe 2024, the 73rd Miss Universe pageant will be held on November 16 at the the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. The country known for its rich culture, ancient ruins, dazzling beaches, and incredible cuisine has been chosen to host the competition for the fifth time after 1978, 1989, 1993, and 2007. Daumier Corilla of the Philippines was proclaimed Mister Global 2024 on Sunday, October 6 at MCC Hall of The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi in Bangkok, Thailand. The 28-year-old model, actor, and host bested over 30 other contestants to become the first-ever Filipino winner of the international male pageant. Valeria Vasilieva was crowned Miss Universe Estonia 2024 in a glittering national competition held on Tuesday, October 1 in Tallinn. After a 23-year hiatus, Hong Kong is set to return to the Miss Universe stage this year with Miss Universe Hong Kong 2024 Joanne Rhodes. The 24-year-old art advisor and model edged out 15 other finalists to win the competition on September 26 at the Go Park Sai Sha. Aside from the crown, she also bagged the Fan Favorite and Miss Photogenic awards. Yan Kiu and Juliette Louie were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.
