Mister Global Cuba Juan Carlos Ariosa beat 38 other competitors to win Mister Global 2022 held on Saturday, February 11 at the Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The 28-year-old actor, model, and dental surgeon originally from Matanzas, Cuba succeeded Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam for the coveted international title. He also bagged the Mister Photogenic award. Oscar Guerrero of Colombia and William Gama of Brazil were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Kim Hee Won of Korea and Setthapan Thongsuk of Thailand rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The 8th Mister Global edition is underway in Chiang Mai, Thailand and 39 of the world's most handsome and inspiring gentlemen are competing for the title. Following their arrival to the host city earlier this month, the contestants have been busy with photo shooting, filming, touring, and preparing for the big event. From their pre-pageant activities, they had the opportunity to experience the Chiang Mai flower festival, try local cuisine, visit a temple, plant rice, feed elephants, and learn Thai boxing called Muay Thai. In addition to the unique cultural experiences, the Mister Global contestants also received the generosity and hospitality of the local people. Mister International Korea 2022 Kim Hee Won will be Korea's representative in the upcoming Mister Global 2022 competition in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In a post on social media, the model and former K League professional football player who won Mister International Korea in August last year shared a photo carrying the Korean flag during his departure at Incheon International Airport. The contestants vying for Mister Global 2022 started arriving in Chiang Mai, Thailand for the international male beauty competition. Over 40 inspiring gentlemen from around the world are expected to take part in the 8th Mister Global edition whose final is scheduled for February 11 from 7 p.m. ICT (local time) at the Royal Park Rajapruek. Mister Global organization also just revealed the format for the forthcoming competition. According to the announcement, the Top 15 will be chosen based on their appearances with 40 percent of their scores will come from their looks, physique, and performance during the preliminary competition. Jacky Phimmachak was named Mister Global Laos 2022 in a national competition held on Saturday, November 19 at Indee Studio in Vientiane. The 22-year-old medical student from Savannakhét beat 11 other finalists to win the title. He succeeded last year's winner Pay Souliyamath and will now represent his country at the 8th Mister Global competition in Chiang Mai, Thailand this February.
