Miss Grand Nicaragua 2023 is Glennys Medina


Miss Grand Rivas, Glennys Medina was crowned Miss Grand Nicaragua 2023 in a national competition held on Wednesday, May 24 at Holiday Inn Managua.

The 21-year-old diplomacy and international relations graduate from Rivas bested 11 other competitors to win the national title.

Gabriela Saballos Leon, Yolaina Guillen, Lisseth Cardenas Palacios, Keytel Price, Esther Ruiz, and Mayerlin Sanchez were declared as the runners-up.

The new Miss Grand Nicaragua is no stranger to pageantry. In 2021, she also represented her hometown at Miss Universe Nicaragua and finished as first runner-up.

Glennys succeeds last year's titleholder Maycrin Juliette Jáenz and will now prepare for the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant to be held in Vietnam this October.

In a post on social media, the Nicaraguan beauty wrote in Spanish: "You don't know what this means to me. I am the woman who always finishes what she starts, the one who never tires of trying until she does it."

"I want to thank my mother for giving me wings, for teaching me to believe in myself, for keeping my feet firmly planted on the ground, for teaching me to value life," she added.

Former Miss World France Ophély Mézino was crowned Miss Universe Guadeloupe 2025 in a special coronation ceremony held on Saturday, July 12. The 26-year-old model succeeds last year's titleholder Coraly Desplan and will now prepare to represent Guadeloupe at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Michaela Tomanová was crowned Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 (Miss Universe Czechia) on Wednesday, June 25 at Chateau de Frontiere in Hlohovec. The 27-year-old mother, model and scientist from Prague will represent the Czech Republic at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November.
