Miss Grand Nicaragua 2023 is Glennys Medina


Miss Grand Rivas, Glennys Medina was crowned Miss Grand Nicaragua 2023 in a national competition held on Wednesday, May 24 at Holiday Inn Managua.

The 21-year-old diplomacy and international relations graduate from Rivas bested 11 other competitors to win the national title.

Gabriela Saballos Leon, Yolaina Guillen, Lisseth Cardenas Palacios, Keytel Price, Esther Ruiz, and Mayerlin Sanchez were declared as the runners-up.

The new Miss Grand Nicaragua is no stranger to pageantry. In 2021, she also represented her hometown at Miss Universe Nicaragua and finished as first runner-up.

Glennys succeeds last year's titleholder Maycrin Juliette Jáenz and will now prepare for the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant to be held in Vietnam this October.

In a post on social media, the Nicaraguan beauty wrote in Spanish: "You don't know what this means to me. I am the woman who always finishes what she starts, the one who never tires of trying until she does it."

"I want to thank my mother for giving me wings, for teaching me to believe in myself, for keeping my feet firmly planted on the ground, for teaching me to value life," she added.

Czech Republic's Isabella Rossini wins Miss Aura International 2026

Isabella Rossini, 20, from Czech Republic, was crowned Miss Aura International 2026 at the conclusion of the pageant on Friday, May 22 at FashionTV Luxe Resort in Antalya, Turkey. The professional model, singer and theater actress bested over 40 other contestants to win the international title. She succeeds Krishan Pauline Alerre of the Philippines. Russia's Varvara Yakovenko wins Miss Intercontinental 2025

Varvara Yakovenko beat over 50 other contestants to win Miss Intercontinental 2025 on Thursday, January 29 at V Hotel Sahl Hasheesh in Egypt. The 18-year-old model became the fourth woman from Russia to hold the international beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner María Cepero from Puerto Rico. Lorena Suárez Lara from Cuba was named first runner-up while Vanessa Natcha Wenk of Thailand and Faidha Kassim Kivuyo of Tanzania were the second and third runners-up, respectively. Bea Millan-Windorski of La Union was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2026 during the final of the national pageant on Saturday, May 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The 24-year-old Filipino-American beauty succeeded Maria Ahtisa Manalo from Quezon Province. She will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant, which is set to take place in Puerto Rico later this year. Luren Márquez was crowned Miss Peru 2026 (Miss Universe Peru) in a special ceremony held on Wednesday, April 15 at the Teatro Municipal del Callao. The 27-year-old television presenter and model received the crown from her predecessor Karla Bacigalupo with the presence of the reigning Miss Universe Fátima Bosch from Mexico. Kanteera "Namphueng" Techaphattanakul was proclaimed Miss World Thailand 2026 on Sunday, May 10 at MCC Hall of The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan in Bangkok. The 25-year-old medical technologist representing Chiang Mai beat 20 other contestants to win the national title. She was crowned by her predecessor Opal Suchata Chuangsri who became Thailand's first Miss World last year.
