Miss Grand Colombia 2023 is María Alejandra López


María Alejandra López was crowned Miss Grand Colombia 2023 in a glittering competition held last Sunday, June 18 at the Mayor Auditorium CUN in Bogota.

The 28-year-old model and industrial engineer from Pereira bested over 20 other competitors to win the national title.

"As an industrial engineer, working with our Colombian indigenous communities, working with people with disabilities like my uncle who has Down syndrome, I want to inspire the world and tell everyone that we are educated people, that we are talented," she answered during the Q&A portion.

"We're not just coffee, emerald, beautiful women, and landscapes. We have so much potential to give to the world and we are already changing the course of our nation," she added.

Yuri Rey from Meta and Valentina Cárdenas from Zona Andina were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.

No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Grand Colombia represented Risaralda at Miss Universe Colombia 2021 where she placed first runner-up to the winner Valeria Ayos.

María Alejandra succeeds last year's titleholder and Miss Grand International 2022 fifth runner-up, Priscilla Londoño. She will now prepare to represent Colombia at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October.

The Miss Grand Colombia 2023 final was attended by reigning Miss Grand International from Brazil, Isabella Menin, with Miss Grand International Vice President Teresa Chaivisut.

Meet the winners of Miss Turkey 2025

The glittering Miss Turkey 2025 national competition was held last December 19 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. A total of 20 stunning finalists were chosen to compete for the national titles that were at stake — Miss Turkey World and Miss Turkey Supranational. Sıla Saraydemir, a 22-year-old student, was crowned Miss Turkey World 2025. She is expected to represent Turkey at the 73rd Miss World competition whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Gia Soleil Espinoza of Texas was crowned Miss Earth USA 2026 in a national competition held on Saturday, January 3 at Rosen Centre in Orlando, Florida. The 20-year-old criminal justice major and third-generation business owner from El Paso succeeds last year's winner Haley Poe. She will represent the USA at Miss Earth 2026 later this year. Domitila Barros bested nine other finalists to win Miss Germany 2022 competition at Europa-Park Arena in Rust, Baden on Saturday, February 19. The 37-year-old Berlin resident holds a master's degree in politics and social sciences. She is an entrepreneur, green influencer, activist, and actress who hails from northern Brazil. Miss Germany no longer considers itself as a beauty pageant. It has redefined itself two years ago to anchor female empowerment in the mainstream, provide an inclusive platform where individuality and diversity are paramount, and establish a movement for a better tomorrow. For the first time, Miss International 2019 Sireethorn 'Bint' Leearamwat, has arrived in the Americas. Miss Guatemala Organization invited the Thai beauty as a special guest during the coronation event of Miss Guatemala 2022, whose winner will represent her country at Miss International 2022 later this year. Payengxa Lor was crowned Miss Universe Laos 2022 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, October 8 at the Grand Ballroom of Landmark Mekong Riverside Hotel in Vientiane. The 21-year-old business management student at the Lao-American College bested 19 other finalists to win the national title. She succeeds Tonkham Phonchanheuang and will now prepare to represent Laos at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, the USA this January.
