Miss Universe Slovakia 2023 is Kinga Puhová

Kinga Puhová was proclaimed Miss Universe Slovakia 2023 during the Miss Slovensko 2023 final on Saturday, June 24 in Bratislava.

The 22-year-old model and student from Dunajská Streda will now prepare to represent the Slovak Republic at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador later this year.

Kinga is now in her third year pursuing a degree in fashion product management at Mod'Spe Paris Central Europe in her country's capital city and in the future plans to continue her studies in Paris.

After pageantry, she wants to be actively involved in sustainability education. She said, "My generation and humanity, in general, is currently very materialistic and commercially oriented."

"I want to spread ideas, teach people and talk about sustainable fashion. I want to build my own brand with this philosophy," she added.

The new Miss Universe Slovakia succeeds last year's titleholder Karolina Michálčiková who won under the Miss Slovakia organization.

Slovakia, officially the Slovak Republic, has yet to win Miss Universe since its debut in the pageant in 1994. Its then representative Silvia Lakatošová earned a Top 6 placement — its highest achievement to date.
